I have never had it before so I have no idea what to expect!!! Yesterday, Kyle was complaining as soon as he got up that he didn't feel well!!! I thought he was hungover. he took 2 naps yesterday becasue his stomach was so upset. Last night when I got home I took his temp and it was 100.2!!! I gave him some Tylenol, put a cold cloth on his head and sent him to bed!! I woke up at 2am checked his temp again and it was 97.5, I gave him more Tylenol anyways and some tums because his stomach was so upset. This morning, he has no fever and other than a upset stomach is just fine!!! I thought it was the start of the Swine Flu, but now i am confused because he fever was gone within 4 hours abd hasn't come back!!! he ate at a mexican restaurant 2 days ago, so I really think it may bee food poising, but like I said I have never had it so I could be totally wrong!!! What do you ladies think??? We are having family pictures taken in a couple hours and I would hate for it to be the H1N1 and he get everybody sick!!

When i had food poisoning i had a fever over 102, severe vomiting and BAD diarrhea. I was bed ridden for 3 days. Food poisoning usually hits pretty quickly -- mine hit about 2 hours after eating the bad food. Sounds like he may just have a stomach virus.

Yeah, when I had food poisoning I was puking and then having bad diahrrea, sometimes almost at the same time, it was horrible. It happened really fast with me too. One minute I was fine, the next my stomach hurt and I started getting sick. My fever never went above 101, and it lasted a day and a half. I was weak for a long time following.

I haven't had it but DH did. I mainly remember him having the really bad diarrhea, although I'm sure there was more to it, that was just his main symptom. And yeah, it hit him like the night he ate it. Doesn't sound like what Kyle had was food poisoning.

Sounds like an upset tummy or stomach virus. Lily and I just had food poisoning last weekend - it usually hits within a few hours of eating the offending food and symptoms include severe vomiting and diarrhea.

Either way, I hope Kyle starts feeling better soon!

I dont know about food poisoning either, but Chris had the EXACT same symptoms as Kyle last week! He was fine after a few days, but he was so sick!

Food posining usually kick in with a couple hours of eatten and you don't leave the toilet....your either sitting on it, or throwing up in it.....or the oh so classy sitting on it while throwing up in a bucket at the same time! Thats what I did when I had it!
I don't treat a temp till it hits 101.5 on adults...the fever helps fight the infection. yes you are miserable but for a shorter time....at least thats how I feel. Hope he feels better soon! And I hope you don't get it!
