So I went and got my nose pierced.
With Miss Lily:
Close up:
It honestly didn't hurt, just felt very warm and made my left eye tear up a bit. I have a white gold bezel set diamond until it heals because there's less of a chance it will catch on a shirt or something, but I'm looking forward to when I can get a prong set diamond since they sparkle a bit more.

Yay!!! Happy Birthday!! I used to have mine done but I had it when I worked at Disneyland. That was fun trying to hide! Just be careful when you take your sunglasses off! I'd always pull mine off in front of my face and pull it half way out...Ouch!

It looks great - and happy late birthday!!
What inspired you to do it? I went as far as sitting in the chair and getting the alcohol wipe but had to back out - I found out as I was sitting there that they would only do it with a RING! Not a stud. I was PISSED. They proceeded to tell me that they were going to keep my money ($80 I think it was, a lot of money when I was 18) because they had taken the santized equiptment out of the packaging. I was with my older friends and I just started crying and wanted to leave. Luckily, my friends talked them into giving me half of my money back. I'm still pissed about it because who in the hell would want a giant gold LOOP in their nose? I was a cutesy little 18 year old - of course I wanted a stud! GRR.
I still want it done but my boss would have a cow. haha. I should ask him what he would think

I've been wanting to get it for a few years now but either just never got around to it or, in the case of last year, found out I was pregnant and just decided to play it uber-safe in case I did get an infection. I kept threatening to do it all summer and finally decided to bite the bullet and get it done for my birthday.
I asked my piercer about the whole ring vs stud thing and he said that it used to be a recommendation that you move the piercing through the hole and a ring made that easier to do. Now they say not to move the piercing at all because there could be debris or bacteria on the exposed part of the piercing that you would then be moving into your open wound so it no longer matters if you get a stud or a ring. And for the record, I think you should TOTALLY do it, Bre! You have an adorable nose and it would look so good on you!

It's beautiful!!!! I had my nose pierced back in highschool but I had to hide it all the time due to our dress code. Apparently having a nose piercing means you're going straight to hell.....haha. ANYWAYS I never got it re pierced but I'd like to

I've had mine for almost 5 years and some family members that I see up close (we are a hugging family) just noticed mine last week!
