Who gets it?

I feel like I have had a mean case of PMS for the past few days. Which stinks, because that would mean AF is on her way back. I'm hoping not though. UGHGHGH I hate this feeling! I just feel moody and hormonal and ticked off. My face broke out on my birthday (clear now, thank goodness) and I am all emotional. This stinks. Maybe I should go on hormonal birth control. Does anyone have any experiences to share?

No, dont do hormonal BC just to regulate PMS

*Fenugreek
*Evening primrose oil
*echinacea

All are good herbs that help with PMS symptoms as well as breastfeeding safe! Tincture *oil form* are the best way to take these

Well poo on that. A couple of other moms I know recommended BCP.

I don't like EPO, but I will look into the other ones you listed Bethy

I get one bad day of PMS. Usually I just feel like I hit a wall and have NO energy.

What's worse for me, is my POS. (pre ovulatory syndrome) A few days before my o, i must get an estrogen surge or something. It makes me feel extremely anxious, like i can do nothing right, and everything is going to be horrible. But it only lasts a day.

Unfortunately the only bcp you can take while nursing is the mini-pill which are EVIL. They take pms and multiply it by about 100.

I love my regular combo pill though: Estrostep. I call them my "happy pills" lol.

I get a couple of days of feeling down in the dumps (I always know it is coming if I just feel like the world is coming to an end for no reason) and then one day of some serious physical pain. I just deal with the depression that comes, keeping in mind I know why I feel that way to begin with and it will pass soon, then take 2-4 Midol at a time to get past the physical symptoms on the day they come. Usually knocks it right out, although it really sucks if I don't catch it on time and I'm in pain for an hour before the meds kick in. I don't know if I will be able to take Midol while BFing? That's a scary thought.

Anywho, I have no suggestions for natural remedies other than exercise. When I exercise on a regular basis my PMS goes way down.

I remember when I was on YAZ, it was basically like taking prozac. I was happy and even all the time. Trouble was, I was so happy and even, I didn't need anything, like sex for example. DH was not a fan. I was NEVER in the mood.

I guess birth control hormones pretty much stink.

I will up my exercise and see if that helps.
