I'm sorry you're not feeling much movement. Perhaps this baby is not as active (yet) as Morgan was. I'm sure that all is well but you call one of your midwives and see if she will come and do a heartbeat check for you if you're really, really worried. When is your next appointment?

I know it must worry you, but all pregnancies are different. It is totally normal. In fact, my pregnancy book doesn't even say much about feeling the baby move until around 20 weeks I believe. Try not to worry! I think the position of the placenta can have a lot to do with how much you feel baby as well (though I don't know much about it).

Sorry you're not feeling her. I'm about 70lbs over weight and didn't feel either kid moving till at least 20weeks. Kieran also didn't move as much as Seamus and because of the scare in early pregnancy with the SCH I was always worried and shaking her, dh would blow raspberries on my tummy, she hardly moved, even during my NST's the nurses and my OB would have to come in and to that vibrating wand thing on my belly to get a reading. But shes the same outside now too, shes just chill and relaxed.

I wouldnt worry too much. I bet she's fine in there. I dont feel Kalani too much these days but I still feel her and its pretty powerful when I do feel her. I'd say not to worry though. As long as you feel some movement sporadically.

You could pick up a cheap doppler at Target for about $20. I'm sure by now you could pick her up!

Its also possible that your placenta is on your belly area cushioning any movements :-)
The 20 dollar target listener is crap! I never heard ANYTHING. I used my stethoscope and heard much more that way.

I agree the doplers from Walmart/Target suck, especially if you are larger(they even say in the instructions it will be even harder to hear if you are a larger lady) we had one and could never pick anything up but my heartbeat and my tummy rumbling.

that does make sense - I didnt feel Ian till WELL over 20 weeks and hes a chill guy - Morgan I felt her at 14 weeks and she never stopped - and shes the one with constant foot shaking, needs to be up and moving, and NEVER wanted to be held with tons of colic. Im PRAYING this one is like Ian - oh god that would be great *dreams....*

I didn't feel Reid too actively until like 24+ weeks. I rented a doppler ($16/month I believe) so that any time I got paranoid I could just check. Most people told me I was dumb and it was stupid to rent one, but I loved having it. It was the exact kind that my doc used and I could always find his heartbeat right away.

ditch the doppler and just enjoy her not moving around alot..HE HE HE...you know once she's out and walking around you're going to wish she was back in your tummy sleeping But seriously I'm sure she's fine...I couldn't feel my babies consistently until about 22 weeks and I'm pretty tiny....I think some babies just don't move as much (Harrison moved more than Nora...Nora just jabbed in specific places more!)
