I'm having one on Feb 20th.
I'm looking for ideas!!! I dont really want to do the traditional hershey kisses in a cute bag/box.
I was thinking about personalized hand sanitizer or hand lotion but I want to do it myself (well my bff would do it) and havent found anything online yet where I could do it myself.
I was also thinking about cookies in a bag.
What did you all do? Any ideas/suggestions? Pics?

To be honest, I didn't have favors at my shower. We contemplated them but then thought they would be a waste of time. I like the practical ideas you have like the cookies or hand sanitizer.

There were tiny rubber ducky keychains for everyone at my baby shower and packets of m&m's.
I LOVE the hand sanitizer idea.

You could just wrap the hand sanitizer in pink tulle and tie it with a bow. That would be really cute!

I've obvioiusly never had a baby shower, but I can tell you for my wedding I did edible favors. I figured they would actually go to use! So I think edible is a good way to go no matter the occassion.

There were no favors at my baby shower either, but there were a TON of "prizes." The guests could win a prize by winning one of the shower games, and towards the end there were still a bunch left, so during the gift opening part, they pulled names at random and gave out the remainder of the prizes that way.
The prizes were smaller items like mini perfumes and lotions, pot holders, candles and things like that. They were just wrapped in tissue paper. I'm pretty sure that every guest got a prize and then some lol.

I did favors but I also didn't want to do anything "traditional".....so I gave everybody one lotto ticket...my mom found really cute $2 ones with hearts on it (girlie for my girl!) I put them in pink envelopes with a personalized sticker on it that I had made at some online website for baby shower goodies. Here is a picture:
I put a little poem next to them that said thank you and "hope these tickets make you as lucky as I am to have gotten all these nice gifts and having you at my party" kind of thing...got that idea from Morgan (ANGwife!)
Most of my friends who actually had winning tickets gave them back to me to use the money to buy "wine" after the baby was born....so overally it made for good fun and everyone got a kick out of scratching them off and what not together!
I also did games with prizes...my sister sells avon so I put together a bunch of baggies of little avon goodies..hand lotion, soaps, lip gloss etc. things every woman could use.
Good luck - can't wait to hear about your shower!

I just bought a bag of Pretzel rods at the store and went to a cake type store and bought a bag of choc that were big disks. I melted them and dips the pretzels in it and rolled them in sprinkles, let them dry in the fridge for about 15 mins and bagged em, Easy!

If you are going for unisex, I would do mens & womens little gift bags/boxes with soap, mini lotion, mini shampoo, make up for the ladies, maybe shaving foam or similar for the men. I wasn't sure about sanitiser either but I get where you're coming from in wanting them to be usable.
Either that or I love the edible theme, you could do little cupcakes, cookies & a handful of sweets per person!

You should do a candy bar!!!! I had one at my wedding and it was a HUGE HIT!!! It was very cute too, and of course it was a USEFUL favor because everyone definitely ate the candy! You could do all pink candies!!! I used all different shapes and sizes of glass jars and just bought some scoops and used chinese take out boxes for them to fill them, it was so cute! (the chinese take out boxes are really cheap online)

Thanks for the feedback ladies!!!!
Ashley - what are scoops?
So many ideas to choose from. I'm feeling the cupcakes though. Still stuck on the pretzel rods. I just might be stealing Amy's idea. Well hopefully I wont eat them all before the baby shower lol.
