I have a course coming up in a few weeks, that is a night class at a local university and it is a lab course that i have been waiting like 3 years to take (they didnt offer it until now) and it is pivotal in my university education. Many many of my other required courses had this class as a prereq. Well turns out according to the online class schedule i had a lab the week of my sister's wedding. Called the school and they told me to drop out if i cant make all the labs. so i was freaking out and trying to somehow make it work (go to dominican later for the wedding, beg & plead) but nothing happened. I have been really bummed out about it but resigned myself to the fact that i have to drop this course to go to my sisters wedding....i mean of course i would do that, but honestly i waited 3 yrs for this course so i was really down about it. Today was the deadline for dropping out with a full refund so I was about to drop the class today and i just got an email from one of the lab instructors i had emailed and she said there is NO LAB that week!! (it alternates weeks) honestly i am like jittery and emotional about this. ok here's the email she sent, i sent her one back confirming that i SHOULD stay enrolled in the class and we would indeed 'work it out' if the schedule changes:
Hi Sarah
I still haven't heard if the schedule is ok. As of this moment, there is no lab on March 15 - it is an alternating week schedule.
Hopefully, the schedule won't change, if it does, we'll deal with it - don't worry.

That means that we'll figure out making up a lab if it changes right?! god i hope so...awaiting her reply...

Sounds to me like she has something important going on that week too and wont have the lab. That is great!!! Amazing how things find a way to work out like that.
