I use lansinoh (spelling?) successfully. I had MAJOR leakage for a while after Dustin was born. And I still leak if I have a few let downs with no nursing/pumping, so usually by the end of the day with out Dustin nursing. But for every day I don't use them. I have only had thrush 1 time with Dustin (and non with Curtis), I'm not sure where it came from... I'm thinking it was the pump that wasn't properly cleaned... I hate to admit that

I haven't used washable but I believe Angela has and has been satisfied with them! Hopefully she can give you some info! Oh and Resi too???

I always used Gerber ultra thins and at first I would leak if I didn't nurse often enough. After I was done needing them I found these reusable ones and if we have another baby I will be ordering some, Posh Pads.

I only use pad's for the first 3-4months and after that I usually dont need them...usually but for some reason I'm leaking like a faucet again

I did get a yeast infection in my nipple just after Kieran was born but I dont know if it was the pad that caused it or not because they were the same kind I used with Seamus and I never got one with him.

*Do washable BP's leak? Some do, Mine did if I didnt change them enough, But I liked the cotton ones MUCH better than the disposables, they were way more comfortable (sposies made my nipples itchy) and cheaper!
*Have you ever gotten a yeast infection *of the boob* from plastic backed pads? No, Ive never even heard of that
*how long do you use pads for? will I end up not needed them? I had to use them for about 7 mths when I cut back on BFing to only a few times a day.. I started working and was unable to pump at work, so by the time i'd get home, i'd be soaked, some ppl dont have to use them at all, you'll know by about 6 weeks PP
*what have you used? Ive used almost every disposable, but I settled on Cotton washable ones from Babies r us..

I don't even remember all the brands I used but I used mainly the disposable ones. I know I used Gerber and Medela but there were another 2 that I tried. One was a generic store brand, super cheap and it worked well.

I also had reusable ones but I didn't use those much. I found that I could soak through those and they weren't as comfy as the disposable ones.

I don't recall how long I used them for but I think I stopped somewhere between 3 - 5 months.

thanks ladies!! I remember using disposable and having to change them super often, which is why I like the idea of the washable ones - thanks for sharing the site, Justine!!

I hate disposable nursing pads, won't use them. My Mom made me a few dozen washables out of cloth diapers when I was pregnant with Liam and I used them successfully with him, Lochy, and I'll use them with Lila. I really only leak during the night and in the morning so it's not a huge issue for me but I don't need to change them more than once a day. I just throw them in the same hamper as the baby clothes and wash everything together.
