Totally pointless appointment. Why do they treat you like your dumb? " How do you know your Pregnant?, What did the test say?" I mean come on people! So I went in at 11 and didn't get seen untill 12:15! Ugh! They gave me a Pap and tested for Cervical Cancer. Then she sent me for blood work to confrim pregnancy.  Waited another hour there. And of course I have a huge bruise on my arm to prove the Lil Vial of blood they took. Can anyone ever take my blood with out bruising me? I'd like to meet that person! So pretty much there gonna call me Monday to let me know the result's. I wont hold my breathe...  She has me scheduled for another appt on the 26th and then I have to wait for my insurance to approve the U/S and then Ill get that to "Confirm" the real due date. But so far she has me at August 24th.....

OMG PLEASE someone link me to the how it happened post I can not find it!!! I am going crazy lol!!!!
Anyways first appointments suck. I can't believe she was all what did the test say. You so should have said something crazy.. like oh it said chicken, or it had 3 lines. I know its early and I have a while to wait, but I can't wait to see your baby!!!

I remember my first appointment -- they tried to go off my LMP, and I kept telling them that won't work because I had IVF and if they go by "ovulation" it would be day 19(retrieval) and not day 14.

At my first appointment the nurses made fun of me for having taken 7 tests! Excuse me for it not feeling real after 5 years! They are so rediculous sometimes!
I really hope that they get your u/s scheduled soon!

haha, thanks girls for the "Wait what your preggo?" haha! Love it! Yup Krista I was trying to make it on your bday My Cousin's is the 25th Mines the 26th, my sister's is the 30th and not to mention the other 8 other August bdays that are at the be gaining of the month..Thats the only reason I really didn't want an August baby. I dont deel like the 24th is the right date but we'll see when I get an U/S hopefully in the next couple weeks!

yayyyyyyyyyy amy how did i miss this post till now!? ha i can blame preggo brain now
well i'm glad you went to your first appt - why did they give you a pap? did you see your fam doc or your ob/gyn? my fam doc is a complete idiot, so my first appt i just said 'i'm pregnant and i want a blood test' and he said 'ok' and that was it LOL
i'm so sorry you got all bruised too, i will say it IS possible for it not to hurt at all, so have hope for the future!

I'm still getting use to the idea that your pregnant again! How are you feeling? Did you tell anyone else in your family? Are you nervous about how Cambria will be with the new baby? Do you ever think about how you will love another like Cambria? I"m asking all these questions because some of them are my own fears.

I hate friday testing b/c you have the whole weekend to wait. Although in this case, you already know you're pregnant.
Sorry that you get bruised every time.
You'd be surprised by the number of people who go into the doctor to check to see if they're pregnant with a negative HPT or nothing but maybe a few symptoms that would make them think they were prego. Sometimes people miss their period, have a negative test and go to the doc just to see. But it still sucks that the nurses treat them like they're dumb.
