I had my first appointment with a local OB today. I got there early and filled out all the paperwork and got in to the room within 5 minutes of finishing! The nurse came right in and went over all my paperwork, health history, etc. My BP was 116/70 so up a little but I think it's because I was nervous. She dipped a pee stick right there and said congrats and left.
The doctor came in within 5 minutes of that and he spent most of an hour with me! My old OB already did a pap and all the pregnancy bloodwork so he just did a quick pelvic exam and said my uterus is a 'good' size for 9+ weeks. The way he said it led me to believe I'm measuring a little big. He looked at my chart and agreed with me on my EDD! So I'm definitely between 9+2 and 9+4 today! He gave me the OK for continuing my running! SO HAPPY about that! He also gave me scripts for my NT test/first tri screening on 1/29, quad screening at 16 weeks (2/28) and a GD test and CBC on 5/24! We tried to hear the heartbeat. We *think* we heard it but either baby is moving alot or we couldn't get just the right spot because we'd hear a couple beats and then it was gone. But at least we know baby is still there and going strong!
I asked about my old OB labelling me high risk and he said there is NO REASON for me to be high risk! YAY! I can have the kind of birth I want and avoid unnecessary interventions as long as things continue to go well! I was going to ask about switching to a midwife as soon as I got the high risk label removed but I liked this OB so much that I think I'll just stick with him!
All in all, I am thrilled! I found out which hospital I will be delivering at so I can look into tours, classes and such! All is wonderful again and I'm more excited about this pregnancy than I have been in along time! WOOT!
If you made it this far thanks for reading! I'm so glad you ladies gave me such great advice on what to ask and what to look for!

How wonderful Sara! That's fantastic news!!! And as far as the high risk label, that NEVER made any sense and I'm VERY glad the new OB ruled it out!!

I do plan to deliver in the hospital. If labor goes like it did with Gem then I might end up with a homebirth anyways! I was like 7CM before I felt a contraction with her! But I already told this doc I want as few interventions as possible and I'd rather tear than get another episiotomy. I want to be able to move around during labor and I don't want an IV unless I have to get antibiotics because I turn out to be GBS + or something. We'll see as I get farther along how in line with all that he seems. I'm just thrilled to be 'low risk' again!
