I've been thinking about her all night. I hope she can get some rest tonight (ha, yea right) and feels better in the morning. Poor Shannon. When I wake up tomorrow I'll get on first thing to check for more updates.

Poor girl, that is really tough. I'm sure she just wants to enjoy being a mommy but now having to deal with recovery. I'll be praying she is back to "normal" soon!

So proud of you for going through all that Shannon! I hope you are feeling much better and will be able to visit with Lily as much as you want. You are amazing for making it through labor and delivery so smoothly while on mag, on bed, confined to your left side...etc. Cannot wait to hear from you!

I am still in disbelief she didn't get put on pit. Is that why her labor was almost perfect? B/c my mag+pit labor was horrific.
Shannon, if you are reading this, you did a fantastic job!! So sorry about the blood loss - I bet you will feel much better after the transfusion. Hang in there, we are thinking of you and your new little family! I hope the complications stop and you can just rest and enjoy your new mommyhood

Its morning, Shannon just now moved to a real room but still no shower or removal of catheter cause of high BP and still bleeding. I think it's down just a bit, because they finally let her have a real room
sha
Lily hasn't left their sight, has 4 meconium diapers, but the drugs have been making her loopy
No visitors yet since she's been in recovery this whole time, but I think immediate family dropped by- she said her Mom was there but she couldn't even focus her eyes cause of the meds
I asked about the blood transfusion, waiting to hear more. She said they just checked her iron and she doesn't think she'll have one, but her stay might be longer now
She said it sucks cause she hasn't gotten to shower and smells cause she threw up on herself and all that, so prayers for getting out soon, blood pressure to be good, bleeding to fully stop and a shower

Have they figured out why she's bleeding so much? Did she retain a piece of placenta or something? I would think there would be a better way to stop it than wait and see! I really hope her blood pressure starts coming down soon and she feels better quickly!

Thanks for that additional update. I hope they stop the bleeding for sure, and that her pressures go down. I know it often takes a while. Mine were still high I think a week or so after - just not deathly high anymore. Sounds like that is where she is headed? That's good!
I hope you get a shower Shannon, and the bleeding stops. I had a theory that the increased pressure meant anytime you bled, more blood would pump out. Not sure if that is accurate at all. So sorry about the continued mag. That sucks big time. I am so sorry you are having all these complications, you are in my thoughts!

She'll def be there over the regular 24 hours too, and she's ready to get out and get home. If it was the 24 hour rule, she'd be checking out RIGHT NOW, but this added a twist
