So, hockey is big in my family - ha so canadian i know.

Anyways this guy who was supposed to play for Team Canada at the olympics elbowed another guy in the head going full speed causing him to then go into convulsions. This is just SO brutal! Freaks me out that my future offspring will be playing this game......

Fast forward to the 1 min mark

That clip played all day long on TV. I can't watch it. This is not what hockey is about and I really hope this guy get suspended until the end of the season. At least.

Thats really scary to watch!!! But rewind a couple years when Todd Burtuzzi hit Steve Moore in the back of he head and broke his neck. It was horrific to watch and definitely not what hockey is about, but he was only suspended until the end of the season. I think things happen in Hockey that are terrible. It takes one hit.....one fight......one bad call to hurt someone. It could happen to anyone. I think he deserves a suspension, and even to be taken off team Canada(because thats not what we are about), but I think he will learn his lesson...Burtuzzi did!!!!

The latest news is that he's doing ok (all thing considered). He was released from the hospital in Rouyn (where his team was playing) and going back to Quebec city where he'll see more specialists and go through a lot of tests.

As for Cormier, he's not in the Olympic team. He WAS the captain of the Junior team (who lost the gold against the US in December).
