I am NOT surprised...that mother of hers is a psychopath I think Farrah is completely stupid dont get me wrong, but I feel so bad that woman is her mother....no wonder she is so messed up! I hope she gives her daughter a better life and is a better mother than her own mom!

Am I the only one who thinks she deserved to get some sense smacked into her?

I couldn't imagine being her mom....granted she doesn't help any but Farrah is a little brat that seems to care more about what boys are around her than her daughter being around her.

Dont forget- TV can make any situation good or bad. Farrah may only be going out once every few weekends or every other weekend..or something like that. But an hour long show (that actually only shows HER story for about 10-15 mins total) can make it look like shes always going out. She DOES deserve to still have a life especially being so young, she does deserve to have relationships and a social life, and i think the show makes it out like thats all she does is go out and I do not think that is the case. Take me for example I go out MAYBE once every 3-4 months but my one night going out could fill up a tv show episode very easily.

ETA: I still believe her top priority needs to be her daughter though. And we dont know that it isnt...she could be spending every waking hour with her daughter other than those few times she goes out but we dont see that, because that wouldnt be "controversial" or "make good tv"

Oh I totally agree - you can easily edit things to make anything look real. And it is a TV show, so who knows what "really" goes on. But they sure do have a lot of footage of Farrah being a brat to her mother to weave together. I don't think I've seen a clip of her and her mom having a normal conversation where Farrah isn't immediately shrieking about how she is a teenager and has a life too in response to anything her mom asks her.

It is important to have a social life and retain who you are when you have a child....but that is also part of the sacrifice you have to make when you make the decisions she did. But, I don't particularly like Farrah to begin with so I am biased. I do like Farrah more than Amber though....talk about being whiny.

(Also, my tolerance for whiny people is at like a -50 right now, so I am incredibly biased, hahaha).

No you are not the only one....I don't care how much editing MTV does of Farrah - she sucks. Last night she laid in bed while her baby cried in the crib.....you shouldn't do that even once if your baby is awake....just my opinion. Farrah should be kissing her mom's butt for all the help she gives her (and money and childcare etc. etc.). If Farrah wanted to avoid these confrontations with her mom and do her own thing she should figure out a way to support herself and her child and move out and do her own thing...if she can't do that she must humble herself and listen to her mother. She's disrespectful to both of her parents ALOT. If I ever told my dad to "f" off like she did in that one episode you better believe I'd be put out on the curb......basically I don't like Farrah very much.....apparently even her public facebook page is full of making fun of the fact that she's a party girl and people "hate on her".

I think Farrah's behavior is largely a result of how her mom and stepdad raised her. Her stepdad doesn't seem to be around much and her mother is absolutely heinous. She's been a pampered, spoiled princess her entire life and now she doesn't know how to put on her big girl panties and be both an adult and mother.

Farrah's mom reminds me so much of my own mother, I feel for her even though I do think she needs to grow up, quit whining, and put all her energy into being the best mom she can be. Unfortunately, she doesn't have the best example to follow.

I rewatched her 16 and pregnant episode and I think now that she was rather mature. She was pregnant, cheering, going to school and working. When she dropped out of highschool she enrolled in the local college to finish her credits. When she needed a car and her grandparents agreed to help her she wanted something practical like they suggested (a Ford Focus if you don't remember). Her mom flipped and told her no way and then smacked her! Sure, Farrah is stupid sometimes... like when she set Sophia down at the top of the stairs to clean up vomit but parenting is LEARNED. There is common sense involved but I can't say I didn't make any mistakes as a young mom with Gemma. It's exhausting being a young, single mom in school and working. I laid in bed, alone, and sobbed many nights when Gemma started crying. It's so hard not having someone to help you or give you a break!

I hate Amber more because she has her baby's dad trying to always do things as best he can and she's always giving him flack! She gets to sit and home and be supported and then she whines about it! Yes, taking care of a baby is hard but she has someone there to help! I don't think I've had a breakdown over Gemma since I moved back in with my mom and especially since I've moved in with Shane! Having just a little support makes a HUGE difference!

I actually was surprised. I didn't want 16 and pregnant, so i never heard the back story. I think Farrah is an evil little brat. But no one should be beat up by their mother.

Yeah I heard about that. I don't care for Farrah but she doesn't deserve to get that kind of treatment.

Totally OT, but does anyone know why they aren't showing that one couple - the one who had the really goofy looking guy and wanted to go into the air force - on the new show?
