I need an organization solution. We have a shoe cubby near the front door of our home, and on top I have a little bin for sunglasses and keys. But I also need something else to organize coats and sweaters that we use daily, and my purse. I was thinking of hanging them on hooks or something?? But then just having bare hooks attached to the wall may not look all that great. Any ideas?

Im no help, our foyer has absolutely NOTHING in it! I definitely need to put something in there though because my purse is always sitting on this one part of our counter and Jason hates it! I think the main reason is because I carry huge purses!! Something in the entryway would be nice to keep all the keys, coats, purse...etc. Now youve got me wanting to go buy something for it!

Coming in our door on the left there is a cute little holder with a shelf and two closed cubbies for keys, umbrella, etc and it has hooks below it that usually hold my sweater and a scarf. Below taht we have a shoe cubby and I put my purse on top. on the right(behind the door) we have a closet where I put most of the coats, large shoes, etc.

What about one of those benches that have 3 baskets under them? Then you could put a rack thing above the bench for coats.
We don't use our front door entrance except for when guests come over. We don't have anything in our small foyer because of that. We had a mudd room that comes in from the garage. I have the rack hook thingie there. We have a small coat closet right by that also.

We have no entry area and it kind of sucks... You walk in the door and you are straight into my living room so we have a few pair of shoes that kind of pile up by the loveseat and sometimes I just throw my purse and stuff down on the loveseat I wish we had room to put a bench or something but there isn't any room!

I don't have a real foyer but the small space I have is accented with a console table, candles and a bowl with ceramic balls.
I like the pub mirror but can you give us a pic of the space?

We have something similar to what you posted minus the mirror and it holds a LOT of stuff. Keys, DH's covers (hats) for work, my purse and if I need to I can hang a coat over top of that stuff. We have a coat closet right inside too so coats get hung in there sometimes. We have a cheap shoe rack thing for all of our various shoes as well.

We don't really have anything and Dh has been wanting to get hooks for coats, etc. We have a little basket on the kitchen counter for keys. Muddy shoes go in the laundry room. Coats end up getting hung on the kitchen chairs which obviously is not ideal.
Keep in mind that anything you have down low like a shoe cubby will be something Jack can get into when he gets older... Matthew is crawling EVERYWHERE now and I am in trouble.

^ good point Shannon. I dunno though, Jack is showing very little signs of wanting to crawl. He is all about standing. He can almost pull himself to a stand from a seated position if there is something tall enough in front of him to get the right leverage out of (if he is gripping our hands he can do it no problem). I can picture Matthew crawling around your house like a mad man!
I will try and post a pic later. I don't have a foyer either. Just a spot behind the door next to our armoire.
