I am on day 3 of this stupid headache and it just won't go away... I have taken tylenol, the dr. told me that was ok to take but its not working.. Anyone have any good remedies that helped you with headaches while pregnant?? If I wake up with it again tomorrow I am calling the dr. to see what else I can take because I don't know how much more of this I can take.. I just want some relief

Caffeine. I know it's a no-no when pregnant, but really, 1 coke or a up of coffee will make you feel a thousand times better. I get bad migraines and have had them throughout this pregnancy......2 tylenol and a cup of coffee and I'm somewhat normal.

So a REAL coke with caffeine in it or coffee will help tons!

Whenever I had headaches I just took extra strength tylenol and drank lots of water.

I was always a coffee drinker (2 to 3 cups/wk) so I didnt get too many headaches. (hmmm there might be some validity to Heathers post!)

A cup of coffee always worked for me... However, I occasionally got headaches from pressure changes and the like - what's the weather like by you? You could just be sensitive to something going on and your headache will go away when it passes.

Ditto the coffee. My doctor didn't even want me to have tylenol when I got headaches while pregnant (although I tried it anyway and it didn't work). She recommended 1-2 cups of coffee. You actually would have to take in a boat load of caffeine for it to be dangerous, and even then there is no solid proof that it does any harm. It really works!

Ugh, I've been having the same problem. I had a headache for over a week. Woke up with it and went to sleep with it.

When not pregnant I suffer from chronic migraines and headache but I'm straight-edge so over the counter pain killers and caffeine are not an option for me so I use to try and find natural ways to help them. What helped a lot for me was a frozen washcloth or an ice pack on the back of my neck(near the top) while laying in bed in the dark. I hope your headache goes away soon, they are never fun.

Ugh! Aimee I feel ya! I had a migraine EVERYDAY for 8 days when I found out I was preggo. I tried everything! Extra strength Tylenol ( which does nothing!!! ) Coffee, Hot cocoa, nothing worked! I hate to tell you...I just had to deal with em. which wasn't easy with a whinny baby. I haven't had them in a few weeks now and I hope I dont get them again but I guess we just have to deal with them...Im sorry

I hope you get some relief. Is it a sinus headache from maybe congestion or just pain?

oh hun i've been having headaces too, and i thought i was going to be the naughty one to suggest coffee but i'm so glad to find that others said it worked too! I just added a scoop of real caffiene coffee to my morning brew and it really helped. you could try eating some chocolate too? that has caffiene in it, and its a good excuse to eat chocolate hope you're feeling better soon.

Sorry, I'm no help. I'm the one who hasn't felt pregnant at all and I have to admit I'm kind of jealous. My pregnancy feels so surreal with no symptoms. I keep expecting to go in for my next u/s and find out there's no baby or it died or something. Try to take comfort in the fact that your baby is letting you know it's there and snuggled in for the long haul! BIG HUGS!

Hydration! Stay hydrated (much harder when your sick I know). Also the most common issue is the quick increase of blood flow so all your brain/head vessels have tons more pressure in them.....try wrapping COLD rags or anything real cold around your neck and head. Try to just keep your temp around you cool also. Oddly enough some women respond to the exact opposite better. But since I know the local weather and it WAS cold and now is warm...i'm guessing your needing the cold.

Ok this is weird but get a sock and fill it with rice and tie it off. Put it in the microwave for 3 mins and then hold it were it hurts. Its a moist heat and its the only thing that helps me with these horrible headaches I have been getting. Tylenol sucks so bad!

Mine get so bad that I have to take 1 excedrin about every 6 hours to kill mine - midwife says its a no no but theres nothing else I can do except deal with a week long migraine AND deal with 2 preschoolers and a yearling on top of it...

...you gotta do what you gotta do....
