I know your the cooter cam queen....I wish you would have warned me how bad those things HURT! I dont know if im just a wuss or what (but lots of people told me the HSG would hurt and it didnt at all) but OMG when my Dr stuck that thing in I thought I was gonna die! And it felt never-ending...its so long!

Good thing is I had perfect lining and a HUGE egg! Bad thing is we werent even trying this month I hope I have another huge egg next month! I also have a pretty big 3.67cm fluid filled cyst...which my Dr. said he will just keep an eye on. Those are pretty normal, right?

cysts are pretty normal, the key is just to watch them and make sure they don't grow and dissipate after a month or so. Cooter cams can hurt, you kind of get used to them after a while tho. to me it also depended on who did the scan and also how many follies and cysts I had, and how close to Oing I was

Ohhhh really Jen? That makes sense...I o'd yesterday and that was the day I had the cooter cam so I guess that could be why! I had lots of small follicles on my right but on my left I had one really big one. And then the bigger cyst as well. So that could be why! Never thought of that!

having the scan done in the clinic(where they had the nice table at an angle and everything) vs. in radiology(laying flat and uncomfy) also made a difference for me.

Yeah, they can hurt a bit sometimes, I think especially if you have a cyst. They never hurt me much even when I had a bunch of follies. My RE was a god with that cooter cam! Man, I love that man It never hurt with him, just got uncomfy sometimes when he would turn it at strange angles - you know how they do it. He was so good with vaginas. You gotta go at an angle with me when you start, and even my first OB had a hard time with that. My RE had no problem though. Maybe what also helped was that the table was angled, and he had a lamp on in there, not those yucky fluorescent lamps. And he didn't say what he was going to do and make a big to do about it. He just came in and chatted with me about whatever, politics or something, or talked to my DH about dumb guy stuff and went at it! If you think about it, he must do that like, 7 times an hour! Did a tech do you scans or the doc themself? Tell your doc next time, "Hey buddy! Don't be skimpy on the lube!" LMAO. Maybe I am just a weirdo liking the cooter cam.

I know what will help you!!

I admit it! He was sooo great. His whole staff was. He was the perfect mix of practical, optimistic and easygoing. Gee, there I go again! You hear stories about cruddy REs, so I really lucked out. Yours sounds great too. Just wait till he (helps) get you pregnant! You too will worship your RE!

I feel like i know them on a personal level and its only been a month since i started going there! I see them and talk to them at least once a week! I think I really lucked out as well!

I've definitely found that if you "show" a lot of anxiety, the cooter cam radiologists are nicer than if you don't! Hope that helps Ashley!

THAT is what I was thinking of Michelle!!!!!!!!!! I knew there was some sort of "naughty" story like that, that I remembered!! I forgot it was a dream though...and thought you had a real crush on him! Haha. God, I hope I dont have a dream like that about my RE he is a very old man (60+ at least!) and NOT attractive at all!

And I hope so!! Im hoping to be pregnant very soon! I have this fear that now that all this is figured out, I will have a problem getting pregnant now! Thats silly I know...but after so many let downs ive gotten it in my mind that ill never have a baby! But i have to think positive!!!

Yes, keep thinking positive! I think it is a good sign you had a giant follie going on that you saw on that scan.

Maybe I did have a very innocent, strictly clinical crush He was kinda cute though! I will post his website in the private forum

My RE was a woman, so...

I was just about to type that the cooter cams never hurt me but then I realized I am crazy and obviously have forgotten things (I blame the baby). Because one of the times, and I don't remember if it was around O time or not, I remember telling my Dh that it really hurt. If they just go straight in then I think it's fine. But the issue for me was when they were like, pushing it way over to one side at an angle really hard. I think they were trying to get a better view of my ovary, or uterus, or bacon bits or who knows what but it did freakin' hurt! So you are not a wuss! It hurt much worse than the HSG.

Well its more sad then funny lol

Short version
I had a cooter cam done and farted on the doctor.

Long version
When I was younger I had lots of horrible pains and the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong for like 2 years (dumbasses). So I went to the doctor and was going to have the cooter cam winch sucked balls because I was a 14 year old virgin and that thing was large LOL! Luckly they put it in my vagina because when I first saw it I thought they were going to put it in my butt.. winch I'm sure would have been way more painful. Anyways so they shove it in my tiny virgin vagina and move it around for what seems like FOREVER, he takes it out and said your bladder is full go pee. So I went and went back to the room and waited. While I wait I realized I had BAD gas!!!! My mom was picking on me telling me I was going to fart on the doctor. Well after FOREVER he came back in re-shoved the cooter cam in and then decided I needed a full bladder. So he made me drink 4 big cups of nasty tap water. After FOREVER of waiting (and tons of gas later and mom picking on me) he re-shoved the cooter cam in. He moved that sucker around and around and then it happened I farted on the doctor. And he was all oh you should have told me you have gas that's why this isn't working. As I left all the nurses were laughing at me. And I had to go back the next day to have it redone and the first thing the doctor asked was if I got it all out!!! Turns out I had like 12 million kidney stones.
