Ya, it is so stupid. People can be so uninformed sometimes. I have lost some friends back home over this. There calling all soldiers killers, not just him. Like the invasion on Iraq was just to hurt people and there was no other purpose behind it.
Kyle used to tell me that people there would hug him and thank him for being there, doesn't seem so evil then does it.

ugh, those people make me so mad. They only see what is shown on tv and that's not usually the good stuff. My husband has endless stories of the Iraqi people appreciating them being there.
I'm sorry someone said that about him. You know the truth so try to just let it go in one ear and out the other.

Wow, I cannot even imagine that. And it was a FRIEND at that? Absolutely pitiful. I want you to know that I appreciate everything your husband does for our country. He sacrifices his life, for people he doesnt even know...and thats a hero in my book. Same goes for all of you military/army/navy...etc wives. When I was leaving St. Louis to go to Cancun a couple years ago there were a bunch of army men just coming home and I walked up to them and thanked them for what they do for me and my family and our whole country...he looked SO shocked and said "Thank you very much...people dont normally tell me that" I almost cried!

People are so ignorant, I can't believe that! Well I'm 150% thankful for what he does. My brother was in Iraq and said the same thing. People were hugging him and thanking him for what we were doing over there. A lot of that just doesn't get reported I guess.

There are some not so nice soldiers over there (based upon the news stories that we hear) but how can that person be your friend and then say that to you about your hubby's occupation. Thats just plain ol' ignorant. The majority (about 99% of them) are over in these other countries doing exactly what they're suppose to do (protect and serve). Some of them never get to come home.
I work directly with Marines, and amongst the Army, Navy and Air Force (active and retired) and am thankful for all that they do/did both CONUS and OCONUS. And they are all pretty good people.

The thing is, is DH is no longer active in the military. He was in Iraq in 2004 and 2005, so this shouldn't even be an issue.

I could never do it. I could never be married to a soldier. I couldn't listen to all that. You and Kyle are so brave and strong and people have no right to comment on things they haven't experienced! You know WE support you 110%! Delete the freak and move on!

I can't believe someone would say that. I do have to admit that I am against the war but I am 100000%thankful and proud of our soldiers and their families. Those men and women are heroes and deserve to be treated as such. I am thankful there are people out there to make such sacrifices and fight for us, even if I wish it didn't have to be this way.
