Our NT scan was scheduled for 11:15 but I didn't get called back till noon! It wasn't so bad until some fat lady, her husband and their pregnant teen came in. They ALL had a Starbucks coffee, even the pregnant girl! They ignored the fact that every other seat in the waiting room was open and sat right next to me! The smell of coffee was gagging me so I made a very obvious grab for my coat and purse and stomped to the other side of the room to a new seat. I was trying to read a magazine but the woman's cell phone started ringing (some gangster rap ringtone and she was TOTALLY white). She started talking very loudly. "Why would I lie to you? I don't have to lie to you!" etc, etc, etc. She finally got off the phone and I felt a moments relief until her husband started belching very loudly and then laughing about it. I was about to ask to be moved to a more private area but the nurse came and called me back anyway! Thank god!

The tech got started right away. We saw baby immediately and the heart was just beating away! 158 BPM again! I started crying as soon as I saw that HB! Baby was still at first which allowed the tech to get all the measurements. She said my ovaries look great and my cysts are gone! YAY! Then she said baby is measuring more than a week ahead (according to LMP) at 12 weeks, 4 days! I explained that I'm actually 11 weeks, 6 days going by my chart but they don't accept that as reliable. So she was all upset baby was so 'big'. She took the nuchal measurements and we scored a 1.3 (anything under 2.5 is good) so we're looking perfect there! She said my uterus and lining are measuring great! She peaked between the legs and it looks like we are having a GIRL!

Then we started trying to get pics of baby and she woke up and started moving all over the place! She kicked me and then did a flip. It looked like she walked right up the wall of my uterus and flipped backwards like Jackie Chan! The tech and I were cracking up! As soon as I was able to quit laughing long enough to get a good picture back the baby rolled over to look at us and started waving! It was adorable! Then the tech showed me the stomach and anatomy and everything looked great! Baby was wiggling all over but the tech got some great pics! I walked out with 7 pics!

The genetic doctor came in (remember the high risk consult recommended by my old OB?) and said she's not concerned at all. I'm fine, baby is fine and I can go on my merry way as far as she's concerned! And she said that she is fine with baby being 'big' especially since Gem was 8lbs. 10oz.

Awww baby is gorgeous!!! The tech told me at 13 weeks Rylie was a girl but we'd know for sure at my level 2 u/s and she was right. I bet it's another little miss
