Sorry I have been MIA. I flew to my mom's house for the weekend last week and didn't say anything about being gone because it was just a weekend, but then my grandmother had a stroke on Sunday. She passed away on Wednesday.
She was 92, living without my grandfather who passed away nearly 20 years ago, and made it clear to us in the past few weeks she was very ready to go join him. I won't go into detail, but her life came to a very peaceful end, which is comforting.
Despite all that it was of course still difficult to lose her, which is why I have been MIA. Between that and this hellacious sinus infection I have, I haven't had much energy for anything else. I'm sorry I just disappeared on you! Thanks for checking in on me.
Now tell me, what did I miss? Did we have any BFPs while I was gone? We always seem to!

We've had some good news, and some bad news.
I am sorry to hear about your grandma. Even when someone has had a long full life and is ready to go, it's still very hard to say that goodbye. Welcome home.

Oh wow I'm sorry to hear about grandma. Although its not easy losing a loved one, at least she went in peace. Having lost both of my grandma's, I understand you pain.

It is going well, thanks for asking! I got to tell my mom it is a girl last weekend... I did a gender cake for her birthday, it was fun! And we went shopping together and got lots of cute baby clothes thru 1 year old, and I *FINALLY* got my mom's christmas gift she put in the mail a month ago (stupid UPS)... the start of my cloth diaper stash! I'm excited to go through all of that. I will probably post pics a little later, maybe next weekend.
Having a grandbaby on the way has given my dad a lot of strength through my grandma's death (my grandma on my dad's side is the one who passed away). He was so happy to pat on my bump, as was the rest of the family.

I'm sorry for you and your family's loss. It's hard even when it is time and they are ready to go, although there is some comfort in that. I'm glad you had a good time with your mom. What an exciting time! I want to see the cake and clothes you've bought if you've got pics.

I am sorry about your grandmother. That is neat that your baby is bringing your family comfort Jack has brought a lot of comfort to our family with our losses as well. My dad says that it is nice to see the other side - new life.
