and I have lost about 9lbs since I found out I'm pregnant Please everyone reassure me this is ok!! I figured I would have lost a few lbs since I don't have much of an appetite and sometimes my food doesn't stay down but I didn't think I had lost that much...
I do go to the doctor this afternoon so I will ask her for something for the nausea and morning sickness because I feel like its getting worse and not better
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update:
Ok so I only lost 6 lbs going by the dr's scale! So that is better than 9!! She gave me some meds for the morning sickness and headaches!! Got to listen to the baby's heartbeat on the doppler, its such a great sound I go back in two weeks so she can check on my weight again!

I lost a few pounds to begin with, but then ended up gaining 50 by the end of the pregnancy.
I would talk to your doctor and get her to prescribe something for your nausea, especially if it is not easing up any.

I had lost about 15lbs by the time I got to my 12 week appointment. I just couldn't keep anything down, maybe once a day I could keep something down but that was about it. And it was usually chinese food... My midwife wasn't overly concerned but she did say that I would eventually need to start gaining weight or we were going to have to figure something out. I want to say at my 16 or 20 week appointment, I can't remember now, but I had gained the 15lbs back.

I lost 15lbs my first trimester as well. I couldn't eat anything and anything I did eat didn't stay down. So I'm sure you are just fine.

I lost a few in my 1st trimester. Dont worry by 16 weeks you'll probably gain it all back if not most of it back.

I was told to eat whatever I could in the first tri (I wasn't sick but felt sicky and had horrible indigestion constantly)... even if it was junk food, at least it was food. The baby takes what it needs and leaves you with the crap Seriously it does though, baby is healthy as can be whilst you suffer. I hope it passes quickly

I didn't lose any weight but that is really common. You'll gain it back, don't worry.

I lost about 7 pounds my first trimester. I've put them back on. If you are still miserable I'd talk to your doctor about possibly Zofran to make you feel better.

Do you take your prenatals? I know I wouldve lost a lot more had I took them everyday while prego. I only took them like once or twice a week at nights in the first tri b/c they didnt help with nausea/vomiting. I tried different onces. Nothing really seemed to help

Ask for Zofran and then buy some colace. It will cure the morning sickness!

i never lose but it's not uncommon. Glad you got something to help you! I'm jealous that you heard the HB! I've heard it by u/s but not by doppler! I'm going to be ordering a doppler when my tax return comes in!

I'm glad you are feeling better about the weight loss. I think it is fairly common in the first trimester, and six pounds isn't bad at all!

Zofran is AMAZING! I went from not being able to keep a single thing down Im talking even water and ginger ale, so my doc prescribed that and that was the end of my morning sickness
