Jack is driving me bonkers! He hardly slept last night. He won't sleep now. He cries if left alone. He eventually cries even if you are holding him. I really hope this is due ot his molars coming in.
And my house is a compete mess. I am tired. I have a headache. I need breakfast. Motherhood is hard.

I am only hoping it is molars. My dad keeps telling me how he will be hell on wheels when his molars come in. I hope it isn't an over the top clingy phase. But he hasn't had anything since his bottom 2 teeth. Maybe its his top two teeth? I don't know what I am saying! Wah.

Good lord michelle - your going to hate me for this...but Nora hasn't gotten any teeth yet and still sleeps like a dream....last night 12 hours...I actually didn't hear her on the monitor this morning so Harrison and I went in to get her up cause we had to get going and she was just laying in her crib looking at her hands...quiet as a mouse.....she turned over and grinned at us! She's a dream.....I guess I'm going to get it when she's a teenager huh!
Good luck with the molars...try the frozen boo buddies...worked for Harrison!

MAN! Jack has stopped sleeping through the night or anything close to that. I started solids and he is now a hyperactive crazy child most of the time. I can't give him any fruit past 4 pm or he just won't sit still or sleep.
I am SO HAPPY FOR YOU Keri! How is Nora doing?

Keri, my goodness. I'm jealous! haha. Curtis was a pretty good sleeper.. At this age he woke up once to eat and went right back to sleep. Dustin on the other hand doesn't nap, doesn't go down well at night (usually sometimes he does) and he wakes up a billion times at night... it's been like that since he was a month or so....
UGH.
I hope Jack feels better. Sure seems as though something is bugging him! Eat something, and don't worry about the house.

Aww Michelle - thanks for asking!
Nora is the perfect child really....she hardly ever fusses about anything....she just sits and plays with her toys...no rolling or crawling still hates being on her tummy - but she sits totally on her own so I'm not worried about her core strength or any of that. She loves baby food and eats alot more of that than formula anymore. We tried puffs the other day and she about choked so we don't do those anymore (Harrison got really upset when she choked and is no very protective of anyone trying to give her stuff like that). She's about 18 pounds and moved into her big girl car seat which she loves (True Fit Premier yeah!). She's just a silly girl - always squealing and laughing especially at Harrison. She loves getting in the bath with Harrison and they yell and squeal together! I LOVE THAT! She sleeps awesome like I said and is just a loveable gal!
And did I mention that she said her first word and now says it all the time: MUM!!!!! Yep David got dada from Harrison but I got Mum! And when she wants something like more food or to be moved or whatever that's what she says...DH says she knows what it means...."Mom get me!"

Hang in there.. Molars already?? Oliver is 16 months and I think he is working on his molars. If Jack has molars coming in already he is way a head of the teething game!

Typically, babies get the bottom 2 front teeth, followed by the top 2 front teeth, then the teeth either side of the bottom & top front ones... in that sequence. So it could be his top ones.
However, that said, Chloe (Helen's pretty girl) and Kirsty got theirs in an odd order, so it could be any. My gut instinct tells me it's teething.
This is a good article about it.
I think Kirsty is cutting her 10-14month molars. Her nappies have been horrendous the last few days, she's been more grumpy and unsettled and very clingy to me. So much so that she cries when her daddy picks her up
As I always say... housework will be here long after you are no longer here therefore it takes second place over our families Is he cheweing on his hands/fingers/toys/everything?

haha! so I had to google "molars" to figure out what yall were talking about. Then I was like "hahahahahahaha I'm such an airhead!"
We put baby orajel (on rare occasions) on her gums and gave her frozen teething toys (the toys are what saved our lives). I dont really remember her being too fussy. We had a ton of frozen toys and even wet frozen baby washcloths.

That sucks! I'd be he's getting his top two teeth first but who knows. Not every baby goes in order? Matthew has been waking every hour or two the past three nights. I am zombie mom. At first we knew it was his reflux getting bad again, we could hear him refluxing in his throat. Then he spit up a teensy bit of blood again. So he is back on the Prevacid. I don't think Matthew is having teething pain at night b/c he doesn't clutch at his mouth and the reflux seems to better now but he just keeps waking up and wailing! I feel your pain! I've been putting Matthew's amber teething necklace on him the last few days and I don't know if it is helping or he just isn't teething right now.
Maybe Jack is having some seperation anxiety right now? Come to think of it maybe Matthew is too and that's why he wakes at night and cries?
I hope you get some sleep soon. Don't worry about having a dirty house.

I was thinking molars since he is gnawing on things on the side of his mouth. I didn't know those didn't come in until later. Maybe it is another tooth then?
He was acting crazy so I dosed him with Motrin. It helped since he did nap and is napping again! He nursed really well too. I don't think I will dose him again. I mostly wanted to see if it had an effect to try and determine what was wrong. I think he was extremely tired, was not nursing the best and so was kind of hungry, and in pain. I am going to give him something nice and cold to munch on when he wakes up. I tried that before I gave him motrin, and he just screamed louder.
