First of all I hate that I can't get on here much anymore. My computer sucks and sitting at the desk puts a ton of pressure on my pelvis and makes me contract more so I really limit it.

Not the greatest of appointments today. Lila is still flipping around in there. I knew she was head down yesterday because that's where I've been feeling her hiccups but last night after another flurry of activity I knew she'd flipped again. I was right and she's breech. While my midwife isn't terribly concerned at this moment we are taking steps to help her turn and stay head down. I have to make an appointment next week at the hospital for an u/s and perinatologist consult for possibly scheduling an external version. She did tell me if I know she flips again then call right away and come into the birth center and they'd check to make sure she's really head down and if she is they'll bind my belly to make it really hard for her to flip back to a breech presentation. I have exercises to do to help her go head down and info for a local chiropractor who specializes in the Webster method which is very successful in turning breech babies. The chiropractor will probably help with all the pelvic pain as well so I'm most likely going to call them next week. I'd do it this week but my sister's wedding is Saturday and there's too much to do (we're also supposed to get like a foot of snow on Saturday too so that should make for some gorgeous pictures for her).

Everything else is fine. She was concerned about all my contractions and did mention medication to mature her lungs but it was my call. I don't think she'll come before 36 weeks so we're holding off for now but if things intensify again I need to call.

I'm really upset at the fact that she's breech and if she stays that way that means I'll have to have a c-section because none of the docs at the hospital will deliver a breech vaginally. This is the absolute last thing I wanted to happen but honestly I've had a feeling for several months now that it would be an issue.

Well I hope she cooperates and quits flipping. You still have time, so that's good. I hope the chiropractor will help with the pressure and to keep her face down!

Sorry she is turning on you!!!

Nolan is a turner too - he didn't move from being head up until last week!! In fact it sent me to L&D with contractions because my uterus spazzed out from all the movement. I had an ultrasound earlier this week to confirm he was head down and he is. He shouldn't have the room to turn back around, but whose to say he wont, haha.

I highly recommend trying acupuncture before the version though...that was my next step on the recommendation of my midwife if he didn't turn on his own, before doing the version or even trying Webster's. She said the success rate is crazy high with acupuncture.

Thanks everyone! I miss being here, I'm going to try and get on more, we'll see if my body cooperates. I made a sheet of positive affirmations that I'm going to read several times a day. Hoping the power of positive thought helps too!

I hadn't thought about acupuncture Heather--that's a good option too. Thanks!
