Before today is over I may kill someone. I was home sick from work yesterday because I'm ill and today I got up and took the dogs out. Well our new neighbors have a German Shepherd that always tries to come through the fence at our dogs. Now our fence is only about 5 feet high, if that. So I took the dogs out not thinking about the neighbor dog. Of course its like 7 in the morning and their dog starts barking and digging under the fence as do ours. So of course I take the dogs back inside intending to take ours out one at a time on a leash (in our own back yard) just so I can feel safe and in control. Well I put Scout and Sadie back inside to take Cooper out and Scout pees on my bed! What the f? She has never done that before. Then the next door neighbor lady is complaining about our dogs barking and how they can't use their yard. Their backyard is literally 20 times bigger than ours and we can't use our tiny yard (which is why we moved into this house in the first place) because I'm scared their 70 pound dog is going to eat on of ours and everytime we are out there he tries to dig under the fence. Guy is going to talk to them about blocking off the section of their yard (about 4 feet) that shares a gate with ours so we can actually use our back yard but I doubt they will. Now I'm scared to take the dogs out there. I shouldnt have to be concerned about using my own backyard.

Thats very aggrevating!!! We have a neighbor (we are a corner lot, so on the other side of the street and two houses down) that has like 5 dogs and most of them are small, so their barks are pretty annoying. Well they all get going whenever they see another animal or person around the house. The keep some permanetly on the back deck and if you walk by the front of the house it sounds like the ones inside are destroying the blinds and stuff.
I hope it works out and your DH can talk some sense into them.

OMG I feel for you. We have neighbors RIGHT behind us who breed dogs and their dogs are CONSTANTLY barking, my god just thinking about it makes me annoyed. Every single time we let our dogs our they are barking from the second they go out there, till we let them in. And randomly in the middle of the night and early morning...its just so annoying!
I hope your neighbors agree to do something!

If they were just barking it wouldn't bother me at all. We are only outside for maybe an hour total a day. Really, we just put the dogs out to go to the bathroom and run around.

Let the dog dig under your fence, and when it does, shoot it!
I guess that wouldn't be very humane. I hope they listen and then block off their yard. That way, you both can use your yards. I am thankful that our neighbors seem ok, even if they do messed up things sometimes (like work on their RV at 1am!) At least I can talk to them! My moms old neighbor would completely lie to her face an deny anything about his psycho dog. I cannot stand people like that.

I would never really shoot a dog. Just fantasize about it I am just joking! Mostly.
I was almost attacked by a dog once and if it wasn't for the owner being there to call him off when he first jumped on me I would have gotten hurt badly. I do not like untrained aggressive dogs. Not that this one in particular would necessarily do something if it did get out of its yard. I'm just saying.

 Michelle! lol
But honestly, I probably would shoot it if it climbed under the fence b/c it could turn into a life or death situation for your dogs. Too many stories out there about a neighbors dog get into another neighbors yard and kills their dogs. I take it that yall dogs do not have play dates where they actually play together?

That would tick me off too. I couldn't wait to get a house just so my dog could have a back yard, I would be so mad if he wasn't able to use it! Hopefully you guys can come to some kind of compromise...
