The snowstorm knocked our power. No power=no heat and we couldn't even cook because we have an electric oven. Luckily Gem was already at my mom's but Shane and I woke up at 3AM to a freezing cold house with temps in the 40's. We cuddled until daybreak to stay warm and then cooked soup on the grill to warm up. We packed up the dogs and the hamsters and came over here to my mom's. Unfortunately we did lose a hamster to the cold. Mine and Gem's favorite one at that.
But we're here and we're safe and we're waiting for word that power is restored to our neighborhood. I just wanted to check in real quick and let you know we're alive! Congrats to Bittersweet on the new baby! I will try to check back in soon!
