First of all thank you ladies for the birthday wishes. I had a tough week last week and it really put a smile on my face to see that.

Well as I had posted a few weeks ago, my parents dog was extremely sick. Then we found out she had cancer. Hemangiosarcoma to be exact. Our family was going to lose one of our best friends. The vet gave us a time frame of one day to several weeks. 2 weeks before the dx she had gotten an xray where the vet claimed they couldn't see anything. Then we took her to a specialist and they gave us the dx. They also said the other vet should have picked up on it the xray 2 weeks prior.

On Monday February 1st I called my mom to see how the dog was and to let her know I would be over the following day to see Cocoa She thought that was fine. She called me a few hours later and said she prob wasn't going to make it to the end of the week. Then an hour later she called again and said they were taking Cocoa to the vet on Tuesday morning because she was starting to be in pain. So I left my house and headed to my moms. It's a 30min drive from my house to my moms. I left my house at 745 pm. At 8pm my mom called me in tears to find out where I was. I was 10-15 mins away. In th 15 mins that passed since I was told that it would be Tuesday morning that she would leave us she took a horrible turn for the worst. She couldn't walk she could hardly breathe and her eyes were no longer brown they were black. My parents waited until I got there before my dad and brother left to bring her which I am extremely thankful for. Cocoa wagged her tail when I walked in the door and again as my dad cried "wanna go for a ride pup" she even wagged it when she walked into the vet. She loved going there for some reason. It must have been all the treats she got for being good lol. So at about 845pm one week ago today we lost our sweet "puppy" she was such an amazing girl and it was tough to be happy and celebrate my birthday 3 days after losing a family member. I do know that we made the right decision because the vet said she would have probably suffocated to her death in her sleep Monday night. She has a beautiful resting place where we can visit her whenever we want to.
