ARGH! (IL vent)

ugggggggggh. so we are having to do serious electrical upgrades to our home and me and dh know exactly what needs to be done and are getting quotes for the work. well my fil was puttering around cleaning up the building which he sometimes does and these contractors came by that were going to give me a quote. well before i could get my boots on to go outside to talk to them my fil had gotten in their faces asking them if they even knew what they were talking about and if it was their first day etc etc. my fil is a big authoritative looking man so thats why they must have started talking to him in the first place but he doesnt even know what we are having done!!! omg i am just so frustrated and pissed off. so anyways he kept interrupting the guys and me and telling me i didnt know what i was talking about so the guys then had no idea what was going on and my FIL kept saying oh you dont need this you dont need that and it was SUCH a huge waste of time. meanwhile i'm m/c at the time and in pain and dont want to be doing it anyways. he even went so far as to stand right in front of me when i was talking to the contractors!! ***?!! i had to peek around him....if he knew what was needed then fine, but its very complicated and he didnt and i can't tell him off cause i dont want to get into a fight with him, i bet he'd be mad at me forever, he's so stubborn.

ok vent over...argh

I would have ripped him a new one and then blammed it on the hormones - Would have maybe done you good to get some fustration out of you

oh he just told me to chill & offered to talk to his dad about it but realy it wouldnt accomplish anything to talk to him. even if my fil completely changed his story he would stil reiterate the fact that he was right in the first place. he is SO stubborn, one of those never wrong people.
