I've heard some persons say that you can experience a feeling of mild contractions. I hope it's soon over.

Yes, you can have very strong cramps during a m/c. Now that I've experienced contractions I'm not sure if I would call them that, but they are worse than regular cramps. Your body is working hard to get everything out that it needs to get out. My first m/c was "missed" so I had to induce it with misoprostal. The cramps from that were extremely strong and painful. I took some Vicodin to help with that. My second m/c was so early that it was just an extra bad period really. But the cramps were still bad during that one.

Ditto to exactly what Kyle said. It was the intense cramping that got me - I was not at all prepared for it, so I took Tylenol 3.
The feeling that they are coming in waves makes them feel almost "contraction" like, that is the worst part. It would be so much easier if it was just a dull period cramp ache.
Keep trying the heating pad and don't be afraid to request some pain meds if you need them. Once you get through this part...the worst should be over. Lots and lots of hugs to you...I'm so sorry you have to go through this.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I was a lot earlier than you, so I'm sure mine didn't last very long.
I remember having rythmic cramping for 2 days. It was painful but tolerable. When it was almost over, the cramps were so bad that I was unable to walk. Those didn't last very long though. As soon as I passed the tissue, the cramping slowed, and the rest felt like a regular period.

Do you think you should call your doctor or go to the hospital?
I'm worried about you

oh tash ur so sweet. my dh actually came home early and helped make dinner so that was helpful. its just contractions and while they are very painful i'm just trying to handle them. i think everythings ok, especially since the bleeding isnt out of control or anything. i googled around and it seems a lot of ppl have this type of thing with m/c, i guess i just didnt really figure it happened with natural m/c, i thought it only happened with the misoprostl...... if this happens again tomorrow i'm going to be so peeved though

I know this is late, but mine were really really bad. They only lasted for about 2 hours but much worse than period cramps. They felt about like how my contractions were maybe an hour or so before I went to the hospital with Matthew.
