So we went to the baby doctor today. It was great seeing everyone again They are so unbelievably nice.

The doctor even tried to look at baby. I told him I was nervous because of the previous m/cs I've had. He was very understanding and took his time looking for something He saw a heartbeat! Him and James. I was to far away from the little screen haha, and of course baby is TINY. I had an empty bladder and it was external so he obviously took his time and really tried to put our mind at ease. Love him.

I have to schedule another u/s for 12 weeks (he put us in for an early one so we could get more confirmation and check dates since I'm still breast feeding) and then again for around 18 - 20 weeks. Super exciting 12 weeks will be a great one I'm sure.

I can't believe I'm doing this all again!!

I am not to sure if we will be telling people yet or not (on facebook). James' cousin had a great u/s yesterday and spilled the news to everyone! We don't want to step on their toes. I'd still like to do the shirt idea and I don't have a second one made yet... so I might just do that tomorrow and see if maybe by the weekend we can have it done and tell people then. Or else we'll tell people in person (co workers etc) and do the picture announcement for the rest kinda deal. I can't wait to hear if James kept it to him self today or not lol. He's pretty darn excited!

This was alot of rambling Sometimes I feel like I'm on the back burner as there are a handful of ladies pregnant with their first in our family and I am so super excited for them.. and then there's me.. ya know?? I dunno, hard to explain!

Anyways....

That's great news!

I know what you mean about the "lost in the shuffle" thing. I'm one of 6 due this year and my sister and sil will be TTC their firsts this month. If it wasn't for the fact that this baby will be the first girl I don't think anyone would pay much attention.

I'm glad you had a great appointment and got to see baby! I'm sorry you feel lost in the shuffle. I'm sure people will be excited for you and once baby is here they will love him/her just as much as they love the others.

Thats great that you guys saw a heartbeat! Once you announce it I'm pretty sure people will be happy. They will probably be more excited once the baby actually gets here.

Yay for a great appointment and finding the heartbeat! I wish you didnt feel so left behind IRL with your family. But I can imagine how that would happen with everyone else having their first...you just need to tell everyone and not worry about stepping on anyones toes! This is still a baby, no matter what number for you...and its a miracle!

I'm glad you got to see a HB! And I think people will still be excited! I know having my second was weird because it didn't seem as new and exciting as the first time, kind of a been there, done that, feeling, but still exciting in a different way. I can't explain it, but my cousin just had her 3rd baby, and she felt similar. But our family was just as excited about the subsequent babies, and yours will be too.
