If you won the lottery...but lets just say it was a smaller figure like $200,000. What would you do with that money?

You want a car that costs $200,000 Angela?
I would pay probably 100k on our house, and probably refinance because it would be nice to have a cheaper house payment. Then I would probably buy myself a new car and sell mine, then I would buy Jason his dream car a Corvette ZR1. Then put some into a fund for our children (college, cars...etc) and the rest into savings!

I would put it into savings until we could sell or current house. Then I would love to relocate and buy our dream home.

I'm going to assume that the $200k is after taxes.
Save 50k of it. Use the rest to pay off cars (about $50k), debt ($10k), and pay down mortgage ($50k) and pay down student loan debt $20k). I'll put about $10 in a fund for Kalani and the left over will be used to do minor splurging.

Assuming its after taxes,
$100K into long term savings(for a house after we get out of the military).
$50K into short term savings(family vacations, etc. after we consider funds, etc)
$50K into paying off debt and paying for IVF and getting LASIK done for me.

Pay off debt minus the mortgage (car, student loan and the small credit cards),
Buy DH a bigger truck
Start a savings account/college fund for Preston and any future kids
Do some upgrades on the house.

We want to buy a house so we'd probably use it all for that.

We would probably buy a new car and use as much as possible to pay off DH's student loans.

Buy a house, the market crashed big time here so you can get a pretty good sized 3bd room for $140k (most were 200-300k 2yrs ago). So I'd put probably 75-100k down on a house to have low payments to help build our credit
Put about 25k in a trust for each kid for college, and then buy dh and I decent newer cars (with in the last 5yrs newer)
