I still had a few onesies, diapers and burp cloths (Gerber PF's and some flats my gram still had from who knows when) laying around to dye. Shane wanted to get in on the action so we all went yesterday to some craft stores and picked dye colors and more embellishments. I dyed everything yesterday but didn't get a chance to put on the appliques. I bought a new iron today so it was much easier than the last batch!
Everything from today:
Close ups of onesies:
Diaperap (Angela sent me this and it was white, I love it even more now!):
Burp cloths:
Ta-da! Hope you enjoyed! I know I sure did!

What kinda dye did you get? and have you tried washing them since you've dyed them? stupid question I know but I wanna make sure it wont bleed onto other clothes.

I used Dylon dyes. I washed each batch of dyed cloth (each color) by itself with detergent and extra rinses and then without detergent and extra rinses. After all of them were done I washed them all together normally and had no bleeding of dye at all. There's tons of pics and tips in my blog as well as step by step pics! (See siggy!)

I just made an Etsy shop because so many people wanted to get something similar but were afraid to dye! If anyone wants to check it out the link is in my siggy or PM me! I will definitely do them very close to cost for any grads members!

How are you doing the embellishments? I see some are iron on and then sewed but the ones with skulls looks almost like a paint.
I have some ones I want to play with also....love your blog detail though!!!

The skulls and writing ones are just ink iron on transfers. They come on a paper or plastic backing (kind of like fake tattoos) and then you iron them on and pull of the paper. I screwed up the first couple I did but I got the hang of it after that!

As far as I can tell it's perfect! I only had heat on it for like 60 seconds so it's probably less heat than the dryer overall. I'm more worried about how the transfer will hold up in the wash.
