I found out today at my midwife appointment that Nolan is fully engaged. I'm not having any cervical checks so I don't know the exact "station"...but his head is fully behind my pelvic bone and I'm measuring 36 weeks, when last week I was measuring 37..so I should be measuring 38.

I'm having lots of low contractions....not quite BH contractions but not real labor contractions, so there are lots of somethings going on in there. Kind of makes me wish that I wasn't so gung-ho on NOT having any checks done, I'm really curious as to what is going on in there now!!!

So I guess....holy crap...I'll be having a baby sooner rather than later huh?

woohoo for babies! Did I remember seeing that your last shower is soon? Like this coming weekend or did you already have it? Hopefully you've got everything ready!!

We are "ready".....I'm starting to freak out because I was sick all weekend (and am still a little, BOO), so NO cleaning got done and I find myself doing weird things like scrubbing the cabinets instead of the counters and the stove, etc. Hahaha. I feel like we are SO messy and everything is so dirty. But as far as having everything read for HIM - car seat is installed, clothes & diapers are washed... things are set up...so we are ready for him! Just not visitors! Although Alice you do know exactly where I live so you could always stop by and snuggle him.

I do have a shower on Sunday with DH's family!! I remember when my MIL said the date and I realized how far along I would be I didn't even give it a second thought, haha. At least it is here in Rochester and not in Buffalo like my other one.

I'm just staying off my birthing ball though because I just sat on it for a little while and my contractions came back again. *crosses legs* I need another week!!!

Gemma engaged at 27 weeks (the first time I had contractions) and stayed put for 13 more weeks and 4 days! I hope he at leasts waits until after your shower Sunday but I don't think engagement necessarily equals labor. Now when you tell me you have a bloody show I just might be on the next plane...

I agree Sara...but since this is my 2nd baby, the fact that he is engaged at all is pretty freaky. Normally doesn't happen until labor with your 2nd, so I wasn't expecting his head to be any lower than it was last week (which was just at my pelvic bone). I wasn't expecting him to engage until my water broke!

Nikki....I've thought the 18th for a long time. But this was back in like November, you know when "February 18th" seemed soooooo far away and wasn't like...what 3 days from now??? I'm thinking (hoping) it'll be next week sometime, which would actually be perfect with DH's schedule at work - if he comes closer to my due date DH would have to go in for a few hours each day (month end close) and I would really hate for him to have to leave Nolan to do that. The 28th is a full moon, does your sister know that??

I will keep repeating that Angela!!!! I only want to get checked TWICE - once when I get to the hospital (and I want to be at like a 6 then, haha) and then again when I feel the urge to push. So I have to keep reminding myself...even if I'm at like a 3 right now...I could still be a 3 at 41 weeks!!!

I will hope you have a labor like I did! I went to the hospital not feeling much of anything for a regular BPP and possible induction only to discover I was 5CM and in active labor! It was only like 4 hours from there!

And how did I miss that this is your second baby? I feel horrible for not knowing that!

I hope Nolan waits until you want him to come!

Even if its your second baby being engaged still doesn't mean too much, this is my second and the baby has been fully engaged since week 34. So lets hope your little guy stays put until at least after your shower!

Hope he comes soon for you! I only got checked twice last time, once at 39 weeks, and then at 40 weeks. I was 2 centimeters, fully engaged since week 34, and 80% effaced and I got induced My kids like to stay put!
