I just found a HUGE black bug above my bed TBH i couldn't even tell whether it was a spider or some type of beetle and i didn't look at it too long because i would've freaked out even more! I just sprayed it with some bug spray we have and left it at that. I am sooooo terrified of bugs and am dreading bug season coming up!
I need some ideas/advice on good ways to keep bugs away! Anything you know for a fact that works great?
We always spray every year but still get some in the house so maybe we're just choosing the wrong brand?

I have no advice but EWWWWWW!! I would have freaked! Every year when spring time rolls around we get a couple spiders (EWWWWW) and I freak out so bad. Jason sprays every year, but we always end up getting a few gross ones. Its weird because our first house was about 40 years old and we NEVER had bugs, but when we built a brand new house in a brand new subdivision it was horrible the first year before we realized we needed to spray! Maybe it was because the ground was freshly dug into!?!? I dont know that sounds silly, but theres got to be a reason!

I've heard that Ashley! Our first year in our house was HORRID! We still haven't put grass and sprinklers in the backyard and i'm hoping once we do that (hopefully in about a month) it'll be a lot better.

We had some issues over the summer with rain and people waiting so long to cut their grass that bugs would just go everywhere!!!! DH bought some type of spray stuff from home depot, it is odorless so you can spray it inside and outside without having to be gone out of your house and it harm you.. As soon as we notice some bugs we spray and they are all gone! It works great.. I'll have to ask DH what its called!!

We still havent fully finished doing that either! Our backyard is HUGE, im talking like possibly football field sized, and Jason doesnt like the way seeding comes out looking so we put down sod which costs ALOT more money. So last spring about 1/2, and this spring we'll do the other 1/2. I hope it helps both of our bug issues!

You can put vinegar (I think) in a jar and cover with saran wrap. Poke little holes in it with a safety pin and the fruit flies will crawl right in and die! We do that in the work trailers all the time! (Stinky men leaving food all over and dirty clothes)

I wish you had take a pic so I could show DH. He's the Bug man...He's a Biologist but LOVES bugs, ant's spider's all the nasty stuff girls dont like. Seriously I dont know how I married him! We have stupid cricket nest in our garage and I swear I get at least 6 of them a day in here! DH think's it's no big deal. Of course the only way to get rid of them is to clean out the garage, I dont want to be the one to find the nest though!!!!!

We sprinkle diazanon (sp?) around the foundation of the house outside and spray with Bayer bug treatment stuff on the outside around the foundation, windows, and doors. On the inside, we spray around doors and windows with regular bug spray and we're usually pretty bug free.
