So, hes sporting now a double ear infection and was started a few days ago on Augmentin Extra Strength.

Magically, his coughing/congestion are gone, and he is not pulling on his ears. (this happens every time...)

We found a WONDERFUL chiropractor for him who is EXTREMELY supportive of all natural remedies for healing ear infections. They are also VERY vaccine delay/never giving friendly. I am in love! I wish they were pediatricians! They have this wonderful family plan, so DH and I will also be going there as well (I have stage 3 degeneration in my neck.. basically the neck of a 70 year old from all the car accidents I've been in, so my neck always hurts and I can barely look to my left anymore)

I am searching for a new ped, because I am DONE with his. Shes like "at his 9 month appointment we're gonna run blood work". I'm like the hell you are not! There is NO need for it! She wants to check lead levels... My son does NOT eat paint chips or anything else with lead He has no visible veins and he already is beginning to HATE it there which is the opposite of what I wanted, so I am done. I don't need her poking around his arms looking for a vein.

I'm glad you're finding a new ped. I would too. I hope the chiro helps the little man! I saw a chiro when I was a couple years old all the way through highschool. My ear infections (I had tubes and everything) magically stopped after I started getting adjusted all the time. I need to find a preggo friendly chiro! ((((HUGS)))) to JJ!

i really hope jj is feeling better and that the chiropractor helps a lot.
i hope the chiro helps your neck too...i had neck issues for a LONG time, over a year, and the first chiro i went to injured me badly but i ended up seeing another Chiropractor (network spinal analysis - its sorta kooky) and she helped me on my way to recovery, i'd say her help was pivotal, without her i wouldnt have gotten better. yay for chiropractors!

I'm glad to hear he is doing a bit better! I don't blame you for changing pedis. Your current one sounds... interesting. I've never been to a chiro but I would love to! I've heard it feels good.

I'm glad you like you new chiro!!! I hope he also helps your neck!! I would also see a new pedi, I have never heard of bloodwork at 9 months old, vaccinations hurt bad enough and there fast, not drawn out like taking blood!! Give him a big squeeze for me!!!

I also agree that we need new pics!!!

Hopefully he starts feeling better soon! Glad you like the chiropractor!

It's mandatory in the state of MD to get blood work for lead at 1 and 2 years of age and it SUCKS I make Andy do that (and the shots)... I just can't do it. After the first experience with blood work at 1 year with Taylor, I'm seriously scarred for life. It actually made Andy cry and that's a hard thing to do. I HATE it! My kids don't eat paint chips and we live in newer houses!

In New York, we have no requirements like that. The only requirements we have now are that children must visit the dentist before entering certain grades. I was actually shocked to hear that our chiro's children are completely unvaxed and in public school in NY. Its practically unheard of! But it made me happy knowing if we do stay in NY, that its an option. As of right now we are delaying indefinitely.

Pics.. sure I got some!

J.J getting his breathing treatments that never worked:

J.J and his "dug" (as he calls him) "Dee" (Cody)

We also think we have a solution for his coughing -- we changed to a dust free cat litter (Changed from Scoop away to Earths Best) and we noticed it helped ALL of us.

Oh and he waves hi and goodbye to us now.
