Do you iron on the pictures first or after? Can you use a bucket instead of the sink? How many times do I want to wash them after? Do I use a normal rinse cycle or the entire wash cycle but without soap? Do I need to pretreat the cloth diapers and onsies first? Im using RYE dye, which I figured would do the same trick. Any more info you wish to share?! I cant wait!!!

Well the how to is in my blog (see siggy) with pics and all. To answer your questions...
-I ironed on the appliques after.
-I never used a bucket but I'm sure you could. I was afraid of splashing myself and the house trying to pour the dye-water out.
-I washed each color by itself at least one full cycle on hot with a rinse in the beginning and an extra rinse at the end. I used Tide Free detergent for the actual wash cycle ( SUPER little as it made a TON of bubbles).
-I didn't do any pretreating besides prepping the cloth diapers per manufacturer instructions (washed on hot with cold rinses) and dryed hot in between. Washed 3-4 times for diapers and once for onesies.
-Umm, I've never heard of RYE dye... Is it actually RITT? I've heard Ritt is really bad about leaking and bleeding and fading. I used Dylon. I'm not sure if it's available near you but I got it at Joann Fabrics, some moms got it from Walmart.
Tips: Wear rubber gloves (like dish gloves) and put down alot of newspaper or paper towels. The dye will stain your hands instantly. Stir consistently and well. Make sure everything gets turned around and wrinkles get opened up so dye can get in. One pack of dye doesn't make all that much. When I tried to do more than 3 diapers and a onesie or two, everything got splotchy. Make sure you practice with an applique you don't care too much about on an extra onesie or piece of cloth. It took me 2 or 3 tries to get it right and not have the appliques pull up or crack when I pulled off the backing.
I think that's about it! Definitely check out the how to in my blog! I took the pics while I was doing it and wrote the how to right after so it probably has some things I'm forgetting right now!

Well then what Ill do is keep the flat folds and dye (its $2 wasnt a waste of $$) And just get some dylon dye and prefolds and just dye the whole lot. I was dyeing the diapers as burp rags anyways (and hey maybe well try a cloth diaper?)

LOL ok so I ended up returning them because I read reports that they suck for spit up because their so thin. I got 12 prefolds for $13 instead (yay!) So Ill dye thoes and some onsies. I got 5 different colors of dye from Joann's and I think Ill still use the bucket idea since I can lock it away in a bathroom away from interested fingers and hands...and clothes....and maybe the dog.....

Well mine came from my gram that just had them laying around from who knows where?! LOL. So at the very least I'll use them as changing pad covers to keep the actual covers from getting tinkled on so much! I forgot, did you get Morton's salt? I used the non-iodized kind but the dye just calls for salt.
