How often do you grocery shop? How much do you normally spend? Do you make more home cooked meals or pre cooked quick items?

not much, since dh is the only one that works(wouldn't be worth it if i did due to extra gas costs, clothing costs{I dont have much} and then the cost of daycare) we dont have enough and with dh getting his full 40 hours again (from April - Octish he was lucky to get 30) we dont get food stamps or anything. We spend around $200-300/mo on food. We like to find coupons and search the local stores ads and get things price matched

We normally think of whatever we want and just go and buy for a day or two. I feel like we don't spend too much but that might be because of how spread out all of the shopping is, definetly more pre-made or meals in a box type things right now.

i get a delivery of organic fruit & veg once a week which is $47/week. Then i go and buy my dairy, meats, breads, etc separately. So we probably spend like $150/week on groceries on average. I mostly home cook meals.

We grocery shop probably once a month and spend close to $300. We also do little grocery store trips throughout the month for little things!! So I guess with that included it is about $400....Yikes....thats way to much money on food!! Kyle buys expensive pieces of meat though, so that adds up. It really varies on what we eat, if I cook it's mostly pre made meals, chicken, mashed potatoes, pasta, things like that. If Kyle cooks(which is %90 of the time) It is Thai food, stir fry, steak, casseroles, Deer, duck, antelope, beer butt chicken, nothing usually comes out of a box when he cooks!! I am very lucky, he is an amazing cook and loves to do it!!

We usually go once a week (unless we run out of something). We spend anywhere from $70-100 depending on what we need. I am trying to make more crock-pot recipes and cooking more often to prepare for baby. I ate eating a lot too, besides being my own sponge right now, I just naturally retain sodium really bad.

We spend probabbbbbly about $300 on food per month. And end up spending more $$ on take out wow....LOL!!! We were getting food stamps for a while but they ran out. Didnt really help us much so thats why we let them run out.

We spend about $350 (sometimes 400+) a month. Which I thought was alot, but now that im seeing everyone else's I guess its not. But its only me & him and I hear how women with two and three kids are spending less than us! I cook home made meals mostly, and probably once a week we do something quick. (Unless its an extremely busy week then we'll do more easy meals). We got every Sunday...sometimes we skip a week if we got alot the week before.

I go at least once per week. My "budget" is $400 but I spend more like $500-600 if we have extra money. We eat at home and cook fresh foods. We don't do processed package type meals. I shop at whole foods mostly and Trader Joes about once a month. It's more pricy the way I shop/cook but it's important to me.

I usually spend about 110 or so each shopping trip and I go every other week. That doesn't seem right though.. I must have an extra trip in there haha. I think we spend about 300 or so on food. But we've been putting WAY too much money into take out. We need to actually sit down and budget what we have allowed for food and then I can figure out what I can spend and what i can set aside for take out and stuff... we should do that tonight lol.

Anywho. Most of my meals are I guess home made but not creative. I don't do meals that just need to be heated up... I've actually never found any that I like. I like using fresh ingredients anyways. There are lots of local farms around so we can get local fruits, veggies, and meats!

My meals mostly consist of a meat with a fresh salad lol. No carbs or starches and what not.

We grocery shop about once a week and sometimes an extra day in there if we run out of something that we need... Lately we just spend about $50-$80 a week.. I used to cook home made things almost everynight, but lately we eat a lot of frozen meals or takeout... Now that the M/S is almost gone I hope to get into the cooking mood again!!

I normally make a list of items that we need. We end up buying more. We go grocery shopping every 2 weeks (pay days) and normally spend about $150-$175 each time we go and buy groceries.

It usually ends up being around $80 a week (we go once a week). We just get what we want and try to stock up when something is on sale. We buy lots of fruit and produce can get expensive but to us it's worth it b/c they are good for you.
We do a mix of home cooked stuff and more box type stuff. Dh does a lot of the cooking. I always feel like I have my hands full doing all the housework, running after Matthew, being up with him at night, making his food separate and feeding him...it just feels like I'm busy even though I'm not "doing" much. I'd like to cook more home cooked meals it just doesn't always end up happening. Part of the problem is I can never come up with ideas for meals that sound good.

I spend around BD$800 (US$400) per month, sometimes a bit more if its the month to buy bulk items like toilet paper, Bounty, etc.

The only precooked food I usually buy are canned soups (Healthy Choice brand). Most other things we make ourselves.

We usually spend anywhere from $80 to $200/wk. We mostly go every weekend. I am very jealous of those only spending $300/mo, especially with kids! I really don't understand why/how we spend so much on groceries, we always eat at home and it is usually home cooked stuff.

We grocery shop once a week, we usually spend around $75-$100, and I make more home cooked meals. I make a pre-made lasagna from Stouffers (sp?) because they have no yucky chemicals in their lasagna.. well, according to my dad. He's worked at Safeway for 45 years so I think he knows a little something about all types of food

We go every 3-4 weeks. We spend about $150-200 a month. I search the local ads for good deals and whatever isn't on sale at the grocery stores (we have about 10 within 2 miles of us) we go to super Walmart. The one near us is great and they are building a new one even closer which will be the largest in New England so I can't wait for that! Before we started going to super Walmart we spent about $250-300 a month so it's saving us a ton of money!! I also do a lot of cooking at home. We go to Chris parents once a week and mine once a week so I cook 5 nights a week.

I usually go twice a month and spend around 100-150 each time. It varies depending on if we need things like laundry detergent, paper towels, toilet paper etc. We eat out once a week or once every other week as well. When DH is gone my grocery bill is about half that because I eat whatever and don't always cook. When he's here I cook pretty much everything from scratch but I do buy boxed "just add meat" type things once in awhile.

We grocery shop every week and usually spend $75-80. I cook all of our meals and we very rarely go out to eat anymore unless we're out of town for some reason (which is, like, never ).
