Reid is going to be 18 months old next week Ever since he was about 4 months old I've taken baths with him. It was easier when he was young and it was a great bonding experience. Now that he's older, I still take every bath with him. My mom was over on Sunday and I think she thought it was weird that I bathed with him.

Do you think he's too old? I don't feel like he is. He doesn't care about being nudie (either himself or DH and I) and I still feel like it's a way for us to bond. Just wondering if it's time to stop or not.

My opinion may not matter (and is probably different then most) But I don't see anything wrong with it. I still take bath's with Seamus and walk around naked at times, I will probably stop once he's in school but right now I dont see any issues with it.

I don't see a problem with it. I would stop when either of you feel uncomfortable. Reid will let you know when he's ready to take baths by himself.

I haven't really thought about it. I do know that my parents, including my father, would come into the bathroom when I was bathing and help me wash my hair until I was around 7. So, yea, I think its completely up to you.

I don't find it odd at all. If you two are fine with it and can FIT in the tub together then go for it!

Totally not weird. I say keep doing it until one of you becomes uncomfortable with it. Who cares what other people think! Enjoy your time!

I remember reading a post of yours a long time ago that your favorite time BFing Reid was in the bath... or something about you enjoying BFing him in the tub and I've been thinking of it ever since. I can't wait to take a bath with Lilybug!

Nothing wrong with it at all! I didn't stop bathing with my boys until they began to think it was hilarious that I don't have a penis. It stopped then, lol, but Ethan was 4 at that point, lol.

Haha. Just today I realized I should think twice before walking around naked.... I was bringing the boys in and it was raining out so the bottom of my pants were wet but I didn't want my socks wet so I whipped off my pants and undies (I was going to just wear sweats and that's so much more comfy commando... okay this is getting to be TMI!) anyways. Curtis gives me a crazy look and says to put on pants cause he could see my bum and pee pee..... HAHA. Erm i don't have a pee pee but he thinks anything that pee or water comes out of is a pee pee...

Ya okay that was WAY tmi... but just saying that this is ONLY happening now and he's 3 already!! So I see nothing wrong with it.. keep it up, sounds like a special time!

Nothing weird at all! I will probably stop being naked around Landen when he is like 4. Now if you asked me this question before I had a son I might have had a different opinion.

It only begins to feel "wrong" when society puts the though in your head, huh? I bathe with Kirsty almost everytime she has a bath. Infact since she was born (or whilst preggo, still counts as a joint bath!), I have only had around 3 baths on my own. It doesn't bother her or me.

TMI... every morning I go into her room, give her a toy or book to play with in her cot, then I go get washed, and come back to her room nakee to get dressed... always have done! She thinks it's normal, and I want her to have a good awareness of her body and that everyone is shaped differently but that's ok, KWIM? (I don't mind parading my spare tyre in front of her LOL)

I think it's perfectly fine! I will take showers with Lochlann (Liam hates them) and they both come into the bathroom with me all the time when I'm peeing or taking a shower. We also get changed in front of them all the time so they see us naked just about every day. They've only in the past few months been asking about the genital differences. We just explained that they and daddy are boys so they have a penis and I'm a girl so I have a vagina. They like this new knowledge and fill people in that "Mommy has a china."

good advice in the pp's.
i agree, mama&baby bath time is so special! (when my nephew and SIL lived here i was the designated baby picker upper when he got tired of the bath with his mom, so i'd go in and get the little wet nakie baby and dry him off, butter him up with olive oil and put him in something snuggly i miss that little guy!)
