Seriously Cambria LOVES them! She gets so happy when she see's and when she hears them she's barking all day! It's so funny. So the other day we were in a mall and she was walking/running down the hall and instinitly saw a pet store and ran in....The first time was funnier but of course I wasn't taping it but this is what I got on my phone...

AWWW that is to cute!
We live in a condo like you guys and we have a dog- We have a bulldog. We crate trained him and trained him to only go out one door- so he taps on that door when he has to go out- I LOVE having a dog- I think Cambria would have a blast!

Ya Beth You pretty much can't have dog's here. I am a BIG dog person and if we get a dog I want something like a golden, Lab, Etc...But ALL places are 25 Lb limit...Although there are Lot's of people in our complex that have huge dogs! Ive seen pic's of the Bully Christine! He's so cute! I would love to have a Bulldog but DH doesn't like em...I still think there cute though!

If you get one, get one from a shelter. There are a lot of great puppies available for adoption. I always go into the pet shops and look at the dogs but I also know 99% of them come from puppy mills. We always had dogs growing up and now we have three. They are a great addition to the family. Cambria is oh so cute! I love how excited she gets around the puppy.

awe!!! cute!!
i agree with rach, get one from a shelter if you can. avoid chihuahuas, they are mean! (well mine is anyways. the only kid she likes is my 9 yr old sis, and even then she really only tolerates her, like she would still bite her)

Aww!!
Yes! Adopt from a shelter!!! There are so many wonderful shelter doggies who need a 2nd and sometimes 3rd, 4th and 5th chance at life!
Once we leave NY next summer, we are going to adopt a golden or a lab through a rescue!

She so cute and what a cute video!
I think you should get a dog. Well, ty only concern would be the demands of the dog when you have the baby, depending on the type of dog you choose. I've heard quite a few persons say that it's can be really challenging with a pet and a little baby. Granted if you get one now, you should have enough time to train him to a certain extent but I don't know.
I don't have any pets. If Amara wants one when she gets older, we'll look into it. Hopefully, she'll want a turtle.
I love animals but they can be so much work to take care of.

i will say the one bonus of having a chihuahua is that they are very low maintenance. my dog is like perfectly well behaved at home, only occasionaly barks, and only makes messes inside if she's feeling sick. but maybe a bigger yorkie would be an option, still smallish but not so small that ur kids would crush it...i know bigger dogs need to be walked like 2-3 times a day so its good if you want to build more exercise into your day. i want to start walking chile that much when it gets warm too.

Uhhh ohhh watch out Cambria!!!
Where I use to live, it was a 40 lb weight limit. The dog I had (blue pit) was clearly 55 lbs. But no one cared, as long as she didnt cause problems. She was friendly so she never caused any problems.

Well were not getting a dog. They are a lot of work and I would have to do all that work plus take care of 2 kid's. NOT gonna happen! Plus we can't have one where were at now and would need a yard to have a larger dog. Yards are hard to come by out here. Were hopefully gonna be renting a house In July ( when our lease is up, and yes I have to move when Im 8 months preggo! Totally looking forward to that! ) and then we'll see. There's no way I wouldn't buy a dog from a pet shop I would get one from a shelter If we ever do.

I was going to say don't do it! Too much work, messy, and you have another baby coming. Do you still have your cat? I use to be a big time cat person. Not anymore. We still have our two cats but once their gone no more pets unless I get talked into it by Oliver when he is older (or his sibling). I've never been a dog person but puppies are cute.
Did you have to move when you were pregnant with Cambria too? Moving when 8 months pregnant with a toddler is going to stink!
