Yep! I never really thought I would be a SAHM, and yet here I am. It was a complicated situation that I'm not going to go into here (I hope you understand!)

Friday was my last day. Reid and I left on Friday night to go and visit my dad & step-mom in Monterey and to have a big JM meet-up! 3 other girls, 1 of which I had never met before. It was a lot of fun, and oh my, I needed a nap after hanging out with four 18 month olds and a 4 month old all afternoon! lol. Will works weekends, so he wasn't able to come.

Today was mine and Reid's first day together. It feels a bit weird, like it's just a Sunday or something. We played this morning, he napped, and then we went on a big grocery shopping trip. I'm trying to polish up my domestic diva skills - while he napped I was able to each lunch, get a load of laundry done, the living room picked up, edit a few photos, and watch two episodes of Desperate Housewives on the DVR. lol. I also managed to get all of the groceries inside and put away without having a Reid melt-down (usually I wait until DH is home to do big shopping so that he can help me unload and put away). I even got Reid to eat some healthy snacks, peaches, kiwi and rice cakes - since I usually only have to give him snacks on weekends, we usually only had goldfish, grahm crackers, cheese, etc.

I actually made a list when I went grocery shopping and got a full trunk for just $100. I made a meal plan for the week - dinner for the 3 of us, Reid's lunch, and lunches to pack DH (which we normally never do!!)

I'm pretty proud of myself today. lol. Tuesdays DH doesn't go into work until 1, he is off on Wed/Thurs, so Monday and Friday are basically my only solo SAHM days. We usually see my mom on weekends or have other plans, or I have photoshoots. I'm really happy to spend two full days with my boys on Wednesdays and Thursdays since we usually only see eachother in the evenings and don't get to do much as a family. Now we get two full days every week!

I don't really know if this will be a permanent thing. I would love to go back to work at some point and am applying to jobs as I see them, although nothing is really standing out to me yet. Finances are my biggest concern, obviously. For now, I am going to cherish my time with my boys

Congrats on being a SAHM. I'm sorry about whatever transpired, it doesn't seem like a good thing but hopefully your photoshoots will be able to supplement your income and keep things going for a bit.

Yay! I'm happy that you are now a SAHM. It's funny how things work out, huh? I never thought I would get the chance to stay at home either. I love how your day went. I started making meal menu's and trying to only spend $100 per week. It's nice how we can have more time to focus on our family and household.

It's going to be great having those two week days to do family things together. You can go to the zoo and other places when it's not crowded!

I hope that you get to enjoy being a SAHM and that things work well for you guys. You deserve for that to happen. Take care of yourself and Reid. I'm glad to see you here for an update.

Hey Bre! We've missed you around here! Hope the work situation ended as nicely as it could. I understand why you wouldn't want to discuss any of that here...

Congrats on your 'new career'! I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time hanging with your boys until you find something new.

It totally stinks being out of work (I'm laid off right now most of the time)! But it's definitely nice to have some quality time with your LO's! I'm glad it seems to be working out for you so far! I hope you will KUP on how things are going!

Awe! I hope you really enjoy being a SAHM for how ever long it lasts I know it's not for everyone so don't feel bad if you start itching to get back to work! haha. It's a wonderful blessing to stay at home with your baby It's so awesome that you get week days as family days! You'll be able to do so much for cheaper and less crowds haha. Have fun and keep us updated on how it all goes!

I also think we need some new pictures!!
