Okay ladies, I'm starting to get really nervous about having two little ones. Drake refuses to nap except in someone's arms. He'll fall asleep no problem, but wake right up if you try to lay him in his crib. He doesn't do this at night. At night, he stays asleep and will be fine in his crib for 12 hours. He'll sleep between 30 mins to 1 1/2 hours in my arms for his naps. He has GOT to learn to nap in his crib. I'm going to have to have an hour each morning and afternoon to either lay down with Eli, or get some house hold stuff done. Help??? I'm afraid letting him CIO for naps is all I'm left with, and I'm not really sure if I'm cool with that. My instincts say heck no. Any AP advice? I'd like to get his naps regulated before Eli arrives!

Jack ends up napping in his crib but always plays in there first. He goes onto his belly and moves around and makes lots of noise. Do you ever try to put him in there when he is tired but still awake? We have a soother thing on the side of his crib that will distract him too when I first put him down, but we don't always use it.

I'm holding Oliver right now for his nap. I don't know how I will ever be able to AP another baby at the same time when Oliver still needs me so much. Have you tried laying down with him and then sneaking away once he is asleep? I've done that but he usually wakes up 5-20 mins after.

How about putting a blanket or his matttress on the floor to see if he will sleep there? When my nieces were young and staying with my mom during the day, this is what she would do as they never liked to nap in the crib.

I was going to suggest the same as Mari. See if you can transition him to there instead of his crib?

Hope you can figure something out

Curtis still got up one time a night when Dustin came home from the hospital. When he realized that he wasn't the only one up he started sleeping through the night. He had one major melt down and that was it. It totally broke my heart, I was nursing Dustin and he was laying on the floor upset But now he understands. They adjust well, but it is an adjustment.
