I have offically been diagnosed with PCOS.
Even though i knew that was what they was going to tell me it stil upset me a little to hear that it was offical IYKWIM?
I am to have blue dye injected into my womb and have a xray to see if there are any blockages.
Dr has also told me to take the best corse of action incase we need to try IVF (you get one round free on the NHS over here) and loose weight because my BMI has to be under 30 to even be considerd for it though. (We had started a diet last week because i had gotten on the scales and not liked what i had seen, bad winter/comfort food/ too lazy to cook and then i got really ill at the start of the week and have lost 3lb )

Gary's spermies was tested also. They check for three things. His sperm count was fine, his sperm enegery but only 5% of his sperm is considerd normal (the average man's count is 17% or something)

So my Mia Moo is pretty much a little mirical... even the Dr looked surpised when he asked if DH was Mia's bio dad and i said yes!

ETA;

IVF is obviously a last resort if everything else dosent work

It sucks to get that diagnosis confirmed. But at least now you know. What are the steps in between conceiving naturally and IVF?

Sorry to hear about the diagnosis but it sounds like you have a great plan to TTC and since you already got Mia things are definitely super hopeful! That's really awesome about the free round of IVF too! I wish we had that here for all the girls spending so much money!

Well I'm sorry that the news stinks but it looks like you have a great plan. Little Mia was a miracle, so who says you can't get another one? And that is totally awesome about the round of free IVF.

There wasnt any talk of what medication would be use just that IVF will hopfully only be used as a last resort.
Im guessing they want to make sure my tubes etc are not blocked so will wait till my next appoitment in June after my xray.
So im gonna take a guess that the medication maybe talked about at my next appoitment.

Thanks for the replies ladies, I really appriacte it

Confirmation of the diagnosis sucks. There seems to be a good plan in place to get things going. I hope this works out.

Ditto to the other ladies... but it's gotta be a good feeling to have a plan. Did doc discuss anything your DH can do to help his sperm?
