I need suggestions of good nursing bras. I have no idea where the best places to shop are or what brands are the best.

I got a great nursing bra at Babies R Us. It's my favorite of the 4 I have bought. It was also one of the less expensive at around $25. I have no idea what the brand is though and I'm not wearing it today so can't check at the moment. It's black with underwire. I thought I wouldn't like the underwire in a nursing bra but I have always worn underwire before, so it's more comfortable for me. My bra size only went up 1 cup size from before BF and that's when I'm "full" lol.

Well, I hate bras in general. Prior to preg/having a baby I never slept in a bra and would remove my bra for the night the second I got home from work.

Now I need to wear a bra 24 hrs a day to contain these milk gushers. I have Bravado nursing bras. I bought them b/c the couple I had from Motherhood were getting uncomfy toward the end of my preg. The band was folding in half from my expanding ribs/belly pushing it up. I didn't have this prob with the Bravado bras and now that I have to wear them all the time, they are comfy and worth it.

I got a few cheap nursing bras from target. A couple were sport type bras. They worked well for sleeping in. I got a cheap one at Motherhood that wasn't the best. I bought one expensive nursing bra from my hospital's women gift shop. It was pricy but a nice supportive bra. I believe the brand name is Bravado. It was around $50. All together I had 4 sport type and two that had the cup that unsnaps and comes down. The sport bras were great for being at home and comfy. The other two worked well for good support when going out of the house.

I haven't bought any yet, but I just thought I would say I'm super leary of Motherhood when it comes to underwear... I bought some of their preggy panties just out of curiosity and EVERY pair fell apart literally the second to third time I wore them.

Im debating on buying some. But if I do, I'd go to target. Maternity motherhood is just expensive lol. I do have a lot of tanks tho with the bra holds in them that I might use tho instead. I'm undecided on if its really worth it or necessary

I had a few pairs of the pregnant underwear too and didn't like them. They weren't comfy to me at all! Not soft.. I bought one bra from there and it didn't hold up but it was comfy while it lasted. It was a nursing/sleeping bra.

I absolutely loved the Bravado Original Nursing Bra and the Bravado Seamless Silk Nursing Bra. They were the most fabulous, comfy bras I tried and between my two girls I tried A LOT.

My hospital had a lactation store and I bought them there. They also have a store locator tool: http://www.bravadodesigns.com/locator.asp

I got mine from Target and they were $15-20 and work okay for me. Might not work as well if you have big boobies though. I got one while I was preggo from BRU but by the time I gave birth it was too small. I wound up having my Dh got to Target when I was like 2 days PP to get a couple differnet sizes so I'd have something to wear. I tried them on and took back the ones that didn't fit a couple weeks later. IMO it's hard to know what size you are going to need until your milk comes in.

I still don't know. I have two bras a friend gave me that were NWT size 36E and they are too small. I have two that I bought at target on clearance for like 3 bucks and change. I was pregnant and had no idea what size I would need so I figured why not. They fit fine but I have only worn one once. I wear the nursing tanks from target literally 24/7. I'm large chested and have never been able to wear anything with the shelf bra b/cc there's just no support. I think I look stupid going out in public, because I totally have lumpy uni-boob. But my problem is I have no SHIRTS. So I could wear a regular bra but then when I pull up my shirt to nurse my stomach is hanging out. So I'd rather wear the tank so at least its covered.

Anyway, my point in posting all of this is two things --

#1. Make sure you get at least a couple of the nursing tanks from Target. They're in with the bras, etc. You won't regret it.

#2. BTDT moms- Where can I get some good tops to wear for nursing in!? I can't find ANYTHING!

oh... and one more thing, I agree, don't go out and buy a lot of expensive bras until your milk comes in because you never know if you'll be much larger or somewhat the same size until later.

Shannon if you are worried about your tummy I've heard some moms wear the belly band to hide their tummy while nursing. I think I did that once or twice since mine was beige colored.
I know I've seen/heard some moms pull their shirt down instead of up to nurse. I've never figured out how that worked though, I think maybe my boobs are too low on my body for that to work? Like not saggy just location wise if that makes any sense.

Yeah I have a bella band thing that I never wore while I was pregnant (aside from as a tube top type deal in some photos we did) and I know ppl in my PR have mentioned using that too. I think button up shirts would be good but I can't really find many and those are never that comfortable it seems. I don't want to try to pull up and out b/c I don't want to stretch out the necks of my tops. I just need to buy nursing friendly tops... surely it exists somewhere, right? If not we should start a store!

I hate nursing bra's, they don't ever fit me right. I just got some nursing tanks this time, much more easy I think.

I just got cheap ones called New recruit... I think its the army's way to try to be cute . But they worked fine I think they were $10. Also I still nurse and have not worn them in forever I just wear a normal bra and move it to the side.

Shannon wear V-necks and stretchy material shirts. That way you can wip your boobies out the top.
