WHAT is a single supplement and WHY on gods earth would i be expected to pay an ASTRONOMICAL amount after having paid for TWO FULL TRIPS if i show up at the resort without my dh. I already PAID for him! And if he doesnt come i have to pay for basically ANOTHER trip. So one trip for the price of THREE. i am SO SO SO pissed off and I can't believe this practice is even legal. the travel agent went on and on how what i was suggesting to do was ILLEGAL (check us both in, despite only one of us actually being there), but charging someone out the bum when they get there or throwing them out on the street (she actually SAID they would do this to me) IS legal.

I guess i can understand charging this fee for a non-inclusive resort where they stand to make extra money from the other person but this resort is all inclusive for god's sake! I'm SAVING them money and they are charging me MORE!!!!!!! omg i almost cried on the phone i am so angry.

Wow, that seems really unfair - if you have already paid for your DH, then you shouldn't be a paying a single supplement...

You should only be paying that if you want a room just for yourself (ie and the hotel would normally be getting paid for two people, rather than just one).

Yeah, I'd throw a bit more of a tanty, if I was you...

What country, what hotel? Or is it the agent telling you this? If so call "anonymously" to the location and ask. And have the agent tell you the law your breaking because I and hundreds of people I know do it all the time!

That's messed up. I would call the resort directly and speak with someone there. It just doesn't make sense. Maybe you'll get a better response that way.

yeah my dh also said ask her what law i'd be breaking...so if it comes down to it i will for sure. it was the travel agent saying this, and calling my tactics underhanded. the more i think about it the more i wanna throw a huge tanty! (btw tash, that is now my new favorite word) i think we *might* hopefully just go down together and then if he needs to my dh will leave early. fingers crossed.

Yes i think i will....cuz its so frustrating with this travel agent, she doesnt know anything and always has to email someone else for answers. she wont call bc shes 'not permitted to make calls' WTH!?!?
