Let's bond a little - shall we girls

Trivia of the day:

What did your parents do for jobs/careers while you were growing up (or what do they still do for you younguns who have young parents! Ha!)

I'll start....

My mom was a elementary physical education teacher....but when she had me she stopped teaching and stayed home - she had my sister a year later so she had her hands full with babies. She never went back to teaching full time but she did substitute here and there as I grew up. When I was little she would work at a retail clothing store at night after my dad got home from work for some extra spending cash and cause she's super social and liked to get out and about. She's now retired from being my dad's personal assistant HA HA HA and golfs and travels alot.

My dad started out as a bookkeeper at local plant of a fortune 500 company when I was really little (he had a bio degree from college so I'm not sure how this all happened but whatever)...he moved his way up thru the management training program and eventually became a CEO/Chairman of that company. He is now retired and golfs and travels alot HA (with said mom above)!

My dad was a software engineer for General Motors. Now he works for an electrical car company. (because GM went under)

My mom used to work in a General Motors Foundry. She quit after she had my oldest sister. (She has pics of herself big, pregnant, covered in filth, and wearing her hard hat.) She's been a SAHM ever since then. She doesn't know what to do with herself now that we're all away from home.

That's super cool about your father Rach!

My mother was a SAHM for the most part, she worked little jobs here and there. Then she was a librarian. And now she's a Pharmacy Technician! Super proud of her

My father was a youth pastor and a tire mechanic guy? not to sure that was when I was super young. Now he's a computer programmer/tech guy!

My mom was, for the most part, a SAHM. she did start a house cleaning business once we started school, but didn't do that for too long. when I started 7th grade (I think) she started an at home daycare that she ran until the year after I graduated. Then she worked at a kids' store and now she's unemployed.

My dad worked for CP Rail (Canadian Pacific Railway) for I think 35 years. He just retired last September. He also worked on call as a volunteer firefighter for our local fire hall from the time I was about 6 months old until now. he's still a firefighter, but I don't know how much longer he'll be doing that as he'll be 60 in October.

Rachel that's bad monkeys man! Is he the one who drew those awesome cartoons at your wedding?

My mom is a housekeeper. My dad is a bum with a sign on the side of the road or drug dealer, something along those lines.

My dad was in the Air Force long before I was born. He's been worked as a manager for Safeway for almost 45 years. My mom has always been a SAHM since she was pregnant with her 1st 41 years ago. She's now just a SAH wife.

My dad worked as an electrician in the UK and then back here for a number of years before going into small farming. My mom worked as a nurse in the UK and then opened a little variety shop when she moved backed here. She closed it up after all of us were grown and pretty much supporting ourselves. She and my dad do a bit of small farming (veggies, fruit, chickens) at their home.
