I made soup and blended it in the blender. I filled it too full and the top popped off and made a loud sound. Oliver and I ate the soup. I went to wash the blender and saw it cracked all the way down. It's a glass blender. Know I'm freaking out that we might have eaten some glass shreds?!?! My stomach hurts a little but I bet it's from worrying. It looks like it just cracked but I'm sure some shreds could of ended up in the soup. I threw the rest of the soup out after seeing the crack. Do you think we will live?

Yep I think you'll live...even if you did eat the shreds they are probably sooooo small that they will pass thru ya'll digestive track no problem! We all probably have no idea the amount of non-edible things we eat every day accidentally that are so small they pass right thru! Try not to worry.....I know its easier said than done but if nothing happened while you were eating it it'll probably be totally fine!

I think you two will be fine just like Keri said... its probably so small that it'll pass right thru and come out the other end with no problems.

I don't mean to laugh, Resi but when you asked if we thought you would live it made me laugh.
And yes, Resi, absolutely, you will live.
It could break if it was too hot and then something cold touched the blender or perhaps it was just aging.
A few nights ago I heated some liquid cereal in Amara's bottle (glass) for her last night feeding and I accidentally heated it too hot so I put cold water on it and the bottle cracked.

I think you'll be okay!!! My aunt swallowed an open safety pin when she was a baby...my grandmother NEVER knew it until it popped out in her diaper one day!!! And that didn't even bother her!!!

I'm still alive but worried! I have had a small stomach ache since I ate the soup. Have I ever told you guys I'm extra parnoid about things like this?? lol I've been thinking all day how I'm going to die and leave Oliver motherless. Yes, I'm dramatic!

Have you ever seen those freaks that swallow glass and call it magic? They live to do it again, so I think you are fine. I have drank from glasses with chips and I lived to tell the tale. I would be more worried if actual pieces were visibly missing, but even then. So long as your poop looks normal and you aren't coughing up blood, I think you are fine.

I'd say you are fine. Honestly, if it were me and I saw the crack I wouldn't have even thought that I might have swallowed some glass. I suppose its possible you did, but there is so much 'goo' in your GI tract some microscopic glass shred shouldnt be a problem.

The whole side of the blender cracked. It wasn't just a little crack. No part was chipped or missing but I'm positive there were tiny little shreds at the least. Oh well.. I'm sure it happen to almost everyone at some point. Oliver seems fine too.

Ditto to Michelle, I watched a show where people were eating lightbulbs. I can totally understand your anxiety, but I think you will be just fine!

I'm sure you're fine. I mean if you couldn't feel it while you were eating it they had to be tiny tiny.
