Ugh. I'm bummed. Anyone fail the one hour glucose test just to pass the three hour one? I sure hope I pass. My three hour test is on Monday.
Oh and apparently my iron levels are low. They put me on a prescription iron supplement. That would explain the stars I have been seeing that I told my doc about and that she brushed off as "oh that can be normal"!

I think yall were too!!!
Sorry you passed the 1 hr. I hate the glucose test. Always said if I failed the 1 hr, I'd just want them to diagnose me with GD. IT was the worst!

I failed the one hour with Lily and baaaaaarely passed the three hour. I had to do the one hour test with Violet three times due to my pregnancy with Lily (swelling, preterm labor, and then she was a big baby - all of which are classic GD signs) and I borderline passed all three times. I pretty much just put myself on a GD diet for Violet's pregnancy though, just to be safe.

I failed the 1 hour with Dustin, but I passed the three hour but I was told to still watch what I eat. I also had low iron and had to use supplements

I really hope you pass the three hour test...being a former GD'er twice and on insulin shots 4 times a day with Nora at the end of that pregnancy - it was rough. With Harrison I was on pills and diet only - never had to do shots. I obviously didn't pass my three hour test with Harrison ....and then with Nora my blood sugars were so bad by 11 weeks or whatever they didn't even let me go any further without being put on the GD diet/pills and then shots etc. I'm actually on my way to Type II diabetes which many GD women end up being.
My 3 month follow up blood sugar test is tomorrow morning and I'm freaking out....I was sick points away from being diabetic last time. I pretty much eat and live like a diabetic anyway now though....blah!
Good luck girl - I don't wish this on anyone.
Oh and I was also on Iron with Nora...never saw stars though....

To make you feel better, lots of women in my DDC failed the one hr. Only a couple ended up failing the 3 hr as well.

I failed the one hour, then the three hour and then they decided to re-test (not sure why everyone was speaking some weird language ) and passed it! I too saw the stars and I just want to warn you... those pills are going to constipate you pretty bad so eat lots of fiber!!!! Good luck I really hope you pass!

I'm sure you'll pass the 3 hour, it just sucks you have to take that yucky stuff again.
I'm on iron supplements now and I was with Liam as well. If you take a slow release iron supplement the constipation isn't usually an issue. It took my body about a week to get used to it and then I was back to normal.
