I don't think it's gross. He told people what he was doing, what it was made out of. They wanted to try it. I am not to sure if I would try it... maybe! I don't see why it's okay for a baby but not for an adult?

Exactly Angela! So gross to me, but I'm sure it'd be a good thing for babies!

That is so disgusting, only because he made CHEESE out of her breastmilk! It just sounds wrong. I don't feed Jack the cheese that grows in his folds, and I wouldn't expect anyone else to want to eat it either!

I wouldn't say it's disgusting per se. It's not something I would have been willing to try but I've heard of worst things that people eat.

Funny how we eat cow or goats cheese but we think cheese made from human milk is gross. Just saying..

Oh and I don't think I would try human breastmilk cheese either.

well maybe cow diseases frighten me less then human ones that can be transmitted through breastmilk. Although I suppose they would test the milk, and I read that transmitting diseases such as AIDS via breastmilk is more difficult then just drinking it and then BAM getting a disease. I suppose if there was no such thing as animal cheese, I would consider making a concession But even then - I can make my own milk with my own body, so if I was going to drink anyones BM it would be my own and not some strange lady. I'll take the strange organic cow instead, lol

I think the only reason this is grossing me out is because I don't like thinking about the cheese making process, period. I like to pretend that my wonderful, yummy organic cheese is hand picked from a tree or something, lol. The thought of curdling the milk and bacteria breaking down the milk sugars to form cheese is really friggin' disgusting to me.

Yea, I would be creeped out because only HUMANS carry STD's, hepatitis, HIV and various other infections. And cow/goat milk is regulated and overseen and pasteurized. No way I would try that!

Yeah I wouldn't be interested in trying it just b/c I don't know where that woman's been. haha. If he made it with MY milk I'd probably try it. Although I'm with Kate... I think the act of making cheese is pretty gross. Just like I love sour cream, if I think of as sour cream I get really grossed out. I bet breastmilk cheese would be good in like a danish or something since breastmilk is sweet.

Oh and I laughed so hard about this b/c I am so stupid. I read the caption under the photo that says this:

Quote:
BREAST-AURANT: Chef Daniel Angerer, with daughter Arabella, 10 weeks, has concocted a cheese dish (inset, below) made from wife Lori's (right) breast milk.
And I seriously spent about 5 seconds wondering why it made a difference that it was from Lori's right breast. Yeahhh. I'm a dumbasss!
