she is just not photogenic! This simply will not do! I didn't send out birth announcements because I couldn't decide on a photo. I planned on sending out St. Patrick's day cards and this is just turning out to be a total PITA. I figured I'd just snap a decent pic and make it into a card with wal-marts one hour thing mainly to send to my Granny, and then figured if I'm gonna bother I may as well send it to a handful of close family cause it'll make them smile... and now its turned into a nightmare!
Basically she just decided to be fussybug all day and she's crying in all the photos. The few she isn't crying in she's sleeping. And even the sleeping ones she doesn't look all peaceful... she looks pissed, like she knows I have a camera and am going to be bugging her.
I decided screw it I had to have gotten SOMETHING useable and go online and apparently wal-mart doesn't have St. Patrick's Day cards. That's just fing great! So then I was like well I can just do a blank one and design my own card with her picture. Who am I kidding? I can barely work PAINT! pfft.
Now I found a cute card on shutterfly which I guess prints at target. So I go to pick out the photos. Want to see what I've dubed 'the best' - ? Cause seriously, it's pretty sad.
No? How about this?
or maybe this one...
or I could use the one where she looks pissed off sleeping like she just had a manicure and its drying...
 I'm so frustrated!!!

I agree with Beth! I myself think that crying baby photos are just adorable, haha. But I can totally see where this would be frustrating. I remember taking pictures of Alice for Christmas cards and it stressed me out!
I think, like Beth, that you should just try one more time for some good shots. Catch her in a happier mood, hehe! She is so darn cute, though!

Yeah I will probably try again. I was hoping to do the 1 hr thing and pick them up tomorrow since DH is off so I could run out solo to pick them up... oh well. We'll see what happens.
If I had any skills I'd take this photo -
and make her pop out of a pot of gold like some kind of crazy angry leprachaun and hope that people saw the humor in my crying baby pic!

I think she's very photogenic in most of the pics I've seen! I also think the crying pic is pretty cute.

Crying babies are so cute! I can see your frustration though. When she cries, she looks like "WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY MOOOOOOOOM!" its sooo cute! I would totally use the 3rd pic tho if you had to choose between those 4 and have a fuunny saying in the card somewhere.

That third one of her crying made me LOL. It's awesome I bet it would make everyone smile, poor little baby. If you make her pop out of a pot of gold I will love you forever!
I dont think she looks pissed off in the sleeping one but I agree the position of her hands is a little weird.
It is SO HARD to get decent pictures of babies. Seriously. All the time I have this "vision" of how I want the picture to look or some cute pose and it rarely turns out that way. Sometimes you just have to say "screw it" about the whole photo shoot and try again later and hope for a better mood.
You know what would be hilarious? If you took the angry baby and made it into an ecard, where you see the pot of gold by itself and all of a sudden Lily pops out of it with Irishy music playing in the background!

I hope you get some good shots soon! She is just too cute, even when she's crying!

I think you should use those! Make people laugh! I'm sure one of the ladies on here could use their skills to make it into a really cute card that people certainly won't forget. The third one is my fav, but they are all adorable and made me chuckle.
