Oh my lovely bacon loving snarky woman Michelle....this makes me feel sooooo much better about my underachiever little miss Nora! Haven't you noticed I don't update on her much because she' my little diva and does little that requires much work HA! Just kidding....by no really its true - Nora isn't very adventurous to try new thing...remember I had to have that talk with her about sitting up and she FINALLY gave in to ole mom and did it for her 6 month pics. But seriously - she is trying to crawl......she gets on all four and moves her butt up and down - but her legs are so rolly she end up on her belly and then pushes herself back wards and thats as far as we get!

Her teachers at school laugh at these three little mean girl divas cause these three are all about the same age and non of them crawls - they just sit in a circle and chew toys and gossip There is a little boy about a month younger and he crawls all over the place....the teachers say they are just being princesses and don't want to work too hard and mess up their hair and nails

Here is more to my update then: Nora sleeps thru the night (finally back to normal after that RSV ugly business), still only eats the second foods but I've been giving her like pieces of mac and chees and green beans or whatever we have that she can chomp on - she makes funny faces at it but keeps putting it back in her mouth! She only says Mum or mama still - its her word for getting things....doesn't mean me but I pretend. Harrison and I did get her to say Baa last night...so she responds to us on that stuff. Two teeth that's it! She loves the bath and takes one with Harrison every night! She tries to pull up on the side of the tub when she's in it so I know all this cruising and walking stuff isn't far behind. She has no need or desire to deal with sippy's I have her try that's pretty funny! Overall, she's super happy, she's super easy going and a super diva! She has us all trained to do her biding!

Thanks for asking for an Update Michelle -now that I've typed all this mean you are regretting it aren't you.

What about Jack - what's his deal!????

Okay and here is the best part: Pictures!!!

Awwwwwwwwwwww Nora is definitely a diva! I already see it "Miss Popular". Hopefully once one of the girls start crawling the other 2 will follow suit. Or maybe the little boy is their servant and he does everything for them so that they dont have to... yeahhh thats a diva for you

Oh I LOVE the pics, she is such a doll! And you are right, quite the diva! If it makes you feel any better, I didn't crawl either and I actually started talking really late too. My parents even had my hearing tested. It's because I had my big brother trained to get me everything I wanted, I just had to point and grunt! hehehe So she's not "underachieving" like you said, she's just smart!

I'm glad she is doing so well. She seems like such a sweetheart.

I was LOL at your description of Nora being a diva! And my goodness those pics are too adorable She totally is a diva! LMAO! I love it!

Jack does basically the same thing Nora does with crawling. He scoots backwards, scoots on his butt, and somehow manages to get his toys across the room by scooting or wiggling. He rocks on his knees, and does downward dog, and does pushups, but so far no crawling at all!

He can cruises a teeny little bit though and is pretty good at walking with assistance, so at least he has that going on. Well and he pulls up pretty well too. I think he does it to work on his guns to impress the babes I was feeling bad about the no crawling yet, but yesterday I was talking to some moms who told me their babies crawled late, and then started walking 2 weeks later. Apparently it seems common enough to not crawl by 9 months, and one mom was telling me that so many kids skip it that it is not considered a true milestone anymore. Not sure how true that is.

AHHHHH a Jack and Nora playdate would be so cute. I bet Jack would try to impress her as she sat there being her diva self, Hahaha! She is beautiful Keri!

Aw she is so cute! She's got you all wrapped around your finger but I bet you wouldnt have it any other way.

When I had playgroup recently there was an 8 month old, a 9 month old, and a 10 month old and none of them were crawling. I was surprised, especially about the 10 month old. But I guess a lot of babies skip it or crawl and then walk like right after.

Thanks ladies - you are too sweet!

Yes Harrison does everything for Nora....she is a smarty pants I guess in that regard.

Michelle - I have heard the same thing about crawling not being a milestone - as long as they can sit I hear that that means muscles are developed as they are the same that are used for crawling so if your aby doesn't crawl I guess its no big deal. I don't feel too bad since all the other girls in her class don't crawl either and are her age.....and a Jack Nora playdate would rock....she would be getting him to do stuff and he would be doing down dog and flexing and what not!

GAAAAHHHH just the thought of those two makes me smile.

Oh and we had another milestone just today - Harrison got Nora to clap hands!!!! I'm excited!
