Okay, im totally threadjacking (sorry Rach, but its on subject! ) How would a mom who is pregnant know which AIO's to get? Having never used them before? Is it just a guess? I would hate to waste all that money and then have them be crappy material or something...or not work for my baby...?

You just need to ask around. Diaperswappers is a great place for information and pictures, there is also a section on JM for cding.

Anything that doesn't work can be sold here and on diaperswappers.

I was also going to suggest the Flip diaper for you Ashley. You sound like me in regards to cloth diapering lol and I love an AI2 system where you can switch out the insert. The Flip system has great reviews and a couple of my IRL friends use them with success. It's a one size diaper. I'm going to use it for Dustin and new baby when the time comes. I need to buy some still though

Me being a 1st time mom and new to CD... once I started researching the different types (pockets, prefolds, fitted diapers, AIO, AI2s) I just went and bought different types. So I have some of each. I get mine from diaperswappers.com, ebay, and other websites such as green mountain diapers, nickis closet, Mrs. Nerds favorite website - Moms milk boutique, cotton babies and a host of other sites.

I like the flip because its just a cover and an insert. No prefolds required and you can use the cover over and over again. The same thing with Grobabies. Those are called AI2s.

And i LOVE the fact that anything that I dont like/dont use. I can sell.

Grobaby is horrid. It's not good for an AI2. Just too let you anyone know lol.

It's got mesh, and it soaks up the pee and just stinks, so you can't use it more then once. Plus poop gets on the cover and you can't just wipe it off since it's mesh material.

You can also use the prefolds you have already, Chelle, in the Flip cover!

Steph thanks for the info! Now I'm kind of mad that I got some. Well off to trade in for some flips or fitteds.

I have 1 x-small BG AIO that I think is the cutest dipe EVER. I love it b/c its just so tiny and makes me melt everytime I see it lol

I don't have any stains on mine, except one and I think it was due to medication he was on. If you wash them in a day or so after use they come clean just fine. Plus putting them in the sun will naturally brighten them.

I just use tide with dawn. There are things you can't use like fabric softeners and the like. I'll let someone else go into all those details... but it's not too terribly tricky.

I do a cold wash (if poopy) or rinse (if just pee), and then a hot wash with detergent, and a cold rinse. I was my diapers every 1 to 1.5 days since I have a small stash.

My goodness the boys are playing so good I am having so much time on the computer hahaha. They are SO cute I love watching them play together!

Yeah, I got a bunch used from Angela and they are in perfect condition aside from being a little fuzzy from being through so many washes/dries. My mom told me I was nuts for dying mine all kinds of colors because they will just get stained but if you wash them well and often enough you shouldn't have problems!

I went with mostly prefolds because they are the cheapest. But I got fitteds and gDiapers for Shane during the day and pockets for at night. I didn't get any AIO's or AI2's because I hate the idea of having them take FOREVER to line dry since my drying rack will be on our sun-porch instead of outside.
