Alissa will be a week old tomorrow, I can't believe how ast it's going! She's such a great baby. She sleeps most the time which is great, DS never slept because he's had major sleeping problems since birth(Still has them) so it's a nice change. The only problem we're having is breastfeeding still. My supply is so low and slow she doesn't want the breast and me having inverted nipples doesn't help with latching. Shell try hard to latch and when she finally does latch she hardly gets anything and get annoyed and lets go then we have to try and latch again. Right now I am pumping and supplementing but I'm only pumping out between 15-30ml each time. I knew supple would be an issue since with DS was never able to produce anything at all. I'm glad I'm actually getting something this time but at the same time I feel like a failure. I wanted to breastfeed more than anything but with my supple not going up at all it looks like I might have to FF her as well. I was ready for this so I'm not too upset.
Time for the pictures!
Hospital pic the day she was born

Big brother holding her

Telling everyone she's 3days old

4 days old

She's adorable! I love the pic with the 3 fingers up. That is so precious!
Sorry about the breastfeeding problems. I hope it works out but she will also do well on formula. You're doing a great job at continuing to try. BFing can be a real challenge and it doesn't always work out.
Chris is getting so big and so handsome!
How is he liking being a big brother so far?

What adorable pictures!!
I'm sorry the BFing isn't working out as you planned. That's awesome that you're getting something when you pump, though! No one says you can't mix bm and formula. Either way, she's going to be a happy and healthy little girl!

Awwww she is tooo cute! Its funny how babies stay all crunched up like they were in the womb even days after being born into the world.
As far as the supply goes, I have no advice. At least you tried and are trying the best that you can. Dont feel like a failure. As long as she gets fed (whether via BF or FF)

Awesome pics Nami----Alissa is so super cute! I'm really glad to see pics of big brother - we haven't seen many pics of him! I love the three fingers picture!!! I didn't have the best supply either and BF'ed both kids as long as I could muster - pumping never really worked for me and I finally went to formula with both kids - we were all happy then! Like you my supply was better with my second but still not great! So it will be okay!

Awww! Alissa is so cute! Dont feel like a failure, your baby is getting fed and thats all that matters. BF doesnt work out for everyone. I hope your supply increases though so you can BF since thats what you really want to do

Awe so adorable! She's beautiful and big brother Chris is SO cute
Try not to stress to much over nursing (easier said then done) all that matter is a healthy and happy mommy and baby, and formula will make that happen too

Thanks ladies
Yeah, I will keep trying to breastfeed for a little longer, it's only been a week so who knows what can happen. I have Alissa's baby nurse coming tomorrow for her one week check up and to check up on my BFing so we'll see what she says and if she can provide some more help. Of course, if it doesn't work out I'm not going to be that upset, I fully FF Chris and I was ready for that to happen again. I tried, that's all that matters to me.

He loves it, he's a great big brother! He hates being away from her and always has to be near. He also always pets her and kisses on her. When she cries he's right there rubbing her head and he even helps with diaper changes.
