Well I had my FINAL baby shower yesterday. I am ready but I'm not ready lol.

Lani is head down (I'm not dilated or effaced) and has dropped b/c I have to potty like a million times a day although most of the time nothing comes out. I feel dehydrated and kind of weak often. I drink a lot of water, but I feel like I can never get enough and it goes right thru me. I get super hot and just want to strip wherever I'm at lol.

Other than that, i'm doing okay. Im going to start inserting EPO vaginally so soften my cervix and plan on doing zumba once a week to bring on the labor. I think I'm going to make it to 39 weeks but not 40 weeks.

Thanks for thinking of us Beth!!!

Yeah come on babies....Penelope fill us in girl!

chel have you asked your doc about the EPO - some of them warn about using it too early (or at all) because it can be detrimental...I don't know how I just remember it can be bad if used too early....I tried standing in front of the full moon, eating eggplant and walking and the night after we went for a stroll around the neighborhood at a nice little pace - Nora wanted out!

I should take frequent walks. But I plan on taking a zumba class or 2 in about a week or 2 to try to pick things up

It is not clinically proven to induce labor, just to soften the cervix. It in all honesty doesn't do a single thing, but alot of women have testified that yes it does help soften. The baby will come when the baby is ready LOL you can start rubbing EPO as early as 30 weeks.

WELL - we still need to hear from Penny, Ill message her on FB to get here in here for an update!!

I thought for sure Nolan would be here by 38 weeks because of all the contractions I was having. 40 weeks and 5 days later he finally showed up.

I can't believe how close you guys are!!! Then again, I still can't believe I've had my baby.

exciting!! more new borns soon!!!

on an aside EPO on the cervix got my 'labour' started with my m/c, for me it was very potent, way more so than even the misoprostol (which i think they also use to induce?)

I tried EPO last night....I cannot stop laughing because it just leaked all night. Had to change my panties twice b/c i wasnt smart enough to put on a liner!!!

Heahter I havent had a single contraction. If I did, I had no idea that it was a contraction. People say that I'll know if I have one. I'm just hoping that one day it just comes like a tornado!

Pen is due before me so she might just pop before I do! I think Nikki (niknok) is due in April too. She's still apart of WTTCG right

Thanks for thinking of us, Beth!

I've been sick since last Thursday, so that has sucked. Now J is sick, too We have ALMOST everything we need...and so I guess we're ALMOST as ready as we'll ever be. We still need to go grocery shopping so we have food in the house when we come home from the hospital.

I feel like I have absolutely nothing going on, and this baby will never come. I know it's not true, but that's how I feel, especially knowing that even though I'm in single digits now, I COULD go up to two weeks overdue. At the same time, I'm perfectly willing to wait as long as Logan needs, and so I'm trying to trust my body...I am taking EPO and RRL, but I'm opting out of cervical checks to reduce my chances of getting frustrated, and I will be talking to my OB at my next appointment to see if they will let me go to 42 weeks (just in case Logan is feeling extra cuddly).

My last day of work is this Friday. It's about dang time. Today has been particularly stressful

I'm not nervous about childbirth or caring for a newborn...maybe that will kick in later, because I'm not sure where my calm is coming from...but I am nervous about juggling a baby, housework and homework.

I mostly just can't wait to get on with this whole being a mommy to an actual baby thing!!

I'm still here, just super duper busy. Taking care of a toddler, working fulltime, and dealing with a husband who is completely self absorbed. I'm quite ticked tonight, b/c he just walked out the door after setting Drake down, telling me tough **** about everything I need to get done b/c his trip to the gym was more important. AAHHHH men!!! Can't live with them, and can't get knocked up without them. I have no idea when Eli will come out. If this level of activity and stress keeps up, probably soon. I'm exhausted mentally and physically, and have NO help. DH did help me clean today after I begged for help. My midwife appts have all been great. I'll have my SIL (Lindsayb63) update the board when I deliver.

I'm sorry Nikki that things are so stressful and hectic. Seems like a talk is in order.

Thanks for the updates ladies!

Pen, what do you do for work? I'm sorry that your work is kinda stressing you but like you said Friday its over!!! Will you go back to work after Logan comes!? Oh how exciting for all the new babes!

Nikki - so good to hear from you!!!....I'm sorry your DH is being a butt, that sucks and you don't deserve that...my DH was a butt last year about this time cause he was working so much and so exhausted...and then he'd almost start blaming me for my high risk issues...like I was causing the high bp and high sugars or something....gahh men...they don't get pregnancy or being a mom at all. Hopefully he'll come around as it gets time for Eli to actual be here (I like the name too - very cute!).

Keep us posted ladies as you get closer...I LOVE hearing about how things are going as it gets closer and closer!

Chelle - I don't know, because my body hates me? I think it started out as a cold, and then it turned into a sinus infection, and it's just hanging around like it's fond of me or something.

IamMom - Sorry, I don't know your real name I work in medical administration, which I didn't really think would be a big deal to go all the way to my due date, but then the pressure and the pelvic pain started. Sitting in a chair for 8 hours a day became EXCRUCIATING, and by the time I got home from work, I felt like a cripple. So my doctor was going to take me off work, but my boss begged me to stay part time, and I did. Yesterday was particularly stressful because I was dealing with French speaking jackasses. Not that I think all French speaking people are jackasses, but these are. Throw hormones into the mix, and I was ready to kill someone and bawl my eyes out at the same time
I have 52 weeks of maternity leave, and they pay me 55% of my salary. So I will be going back to work when Logan is 12 months
